I just can't believe that the series ended on Grey just assuming that Tycho would just help him do whatever he asked and Tycho barely even hesitating before being like 'yeah sure'

Yes that's very in character but like, for FSIS Tycho 😭😭😭

T, please learn boundaries 🙏😭 I gave up on Grey changing and being aware of the presure he puts on Tycho but come on T you are allowed your own life with your own choices 🙏🙏😭

The fact that we've had three books of him being unable to set boundaries or of choosing his own way only for Grey to come and guide his way again in the end?!?!?! For real?!?!?! It just feels like an erasure of character development 😭😭

Whenever I see people call TSOTF "too complex" or "too confusing" I remember that most people didn't read the Licanius trilogy, and it shows.

I saw someone complain that now they're not sure who the villain is now, *let me tell you about the Venerate*

Forging Silver Into Stars is genuinely such a comforting series to me.

Like I have physical copies, as well as them both downloaded on my phone and laptop, so whenever I want something to read it's always my go to.

Fluff? Plenty of heart melting scenes to re-read.

Angst? There's such a perfect balance of it.

Spice? I'll admit that as someone who's asexual, usually those scenes gross me out, but they're so kind with each other the whole time that it's actually so beautiful. My irls can confirm that I've yapped about fsis sex scenes more then once. I could yap about it for ages tbh.

One of my favorite things about reading TWOTM and TSOTF is seeing how James Islington uses real-world historical details in this series.

The amount of tiny details!!! The way that it's so well done!!!

Right before Decimus did you know what, Aequa said that Vis's parents "were murdered when he was young".

Murdered.

That's the truth, but didn't Vis tell everyone that his parents died in an accident?!?!?!?!

Had Aequa found something after spending so long trying to figure out how Vis could be so good at everything?!?!?!?

Post The Strenght of the Few thoughts/theories:

– Diago the alupi has to be a iunctus. He probably died after rescuing Vis from the labyrinth at the end of twotm, when he was badly injuried and then Vis passed out and when he woke Diago was saved. That would be why he never eats, obeys so well, stopped growing, why Vis can sense him, and why he barely bled when taking that spear

– Caeror is evil. Obiteum!Caeror said he felt his two copies die but that's obviously not true. Except if Ruarc is a iunctus. Could he be?

– I think and fear that Eidhin will end up against Res!Vis, because Res!Vis will go too far

– Vis or Eidhin will tell Callidus all of Vis's past in book 3. That was a huge regret of his, not having told him

– I hope book 3 will take off where tsotf stopped. No Licanius 3 time jump please!

– Now I'm scared for Luceum!Vis's friends because they're the only dimension where no relatively major character died yet. (Sorry Cristoval, love u but you had one scene and was already dead so yeah)

– Guess/bet: book 3's new style cover will be Luceum and the old style cover will be either red or yellow

Imagine your entire family gets murdered by a colonial empire who took over your entire country, so you had to hide and be no one, and then you have to accept to help one of them cause it might save your life.

But then you have to go to the capital and act like you love all they're doing. And then the people there get mass murdered, and you hate these people but you still have compassion left so you decide to save them (killing a former friend in the process), and as a reward you get a new name that says you belong to them, to those who took everything from you. But you can't really say that you hate it cause that would be suspicious.

Cause "Catenicus" literally means "Of Caten/Who belongs to Caten" :)

And now Vis keeps being called that :) :)
