This was just like an oversized prom. People were laughing and dancing. Hell, was he at a prom that they tried to make fancy by using the word ‘gala’. If this was how the park wanted to boost the morale, he was sure it was going to work. Who doesn’t love a big party?

 Moose smirked with a chuckle as he walked in. He moved further in looking for something to drink. It wasn’t a party until then. The lifeguard made his way through to the drinks area and looked at the assorted array of drinks and made his choice. As he turned around he thought he had spotted someone he recognized. “Hey!” He called out. “You look familiar. Have I seen you around here before?”

“me----” a nail pointed at her chest, bewildered expression danced across her features. a mere laugh escaped her lips, “you’ve probably seen me at the TICKET BOOTH. looking like an absolute queen.” sarcasm laced in her words. “maybe we’ve seen each other in PASSING ?? you know, you see someone every single day without talking to them. ships in the night.” feeling like she sounded so POETIC. 

“so mystery man---- who are you ?? what do they call you out there in the park ??”

Magnus kneels in front of her, lightly grabbing her knees. “It can be DIFFICULT to believe,” he manages between LABORED breaths, “but this is SERIOUS. There were no weird brownies involved, but they did sell me those fried unicorn dick that I shouldn’t have LOVED so much.” He clicks his tongue then, looking away from her to make a dramatic expression, one filled with utmost REGRET. “They used my WEAKNESS against me, and I didn’t see it coming.”

“you ate the COTTON CANDY---- huh ?? are you currently BOUNCING OFF THE WALLS ??” lily luna tried to keep her expression even which was hard. “would you like to show me who THEY are ?? i’m curious as to WHO would do this to you ??” eyebrows rose in her curiosity. “let’s take a walk to the cotton candy stand--- shall we ??”

“and if i don’t leave ??” not sure what the hell she did ?? perhaps her mouth had gotten her in trouble. again. “i can take a hint---- i’m still confused as to what happened here ?? it’s cool----- i’m gonna leave in the slotted time given.” running as fast as she could away from the other. something about this felt really strange.

lapis wasn’t terrified. that was past her. she was terrified when she was trapped in a mirror— but only for the first thousand or so years. she was terrified when she was held captive by the homeland gems— but only because she just accepted her fate. she was terrified when she was fused as malachite— but would only show when she didn’t have the strength to hold the power over jasper. but just when she was all but free again from the bonds of another, she woke up away from the barn, away from peridot and away from the crystal gems. this place resembled beach city & funland. it resembled all she knew of earth. but no familiarity reached the girl & there was no way out. trapped again. sitting on a bench + her knees pulled close to her chest, an oversized white tee with the stereotypical cartoon of a green alien with big almond shaped black eyes on it, ( steven gave it to peridot, lapis slept in in the night before she woke up here. ) clothed her light blue frame. not looking up from her rest on the bench, lapis felt movement, someone else?? a single frustrated tear left her wide eyes, a grumpy voice leaving her, ” — did you do this to me?? ” a side eye glared to the stranger, ” did you— send me here?“

ice cream in hand, lily luna was lost in her own thoughts. managing to make it to her NORMAL spot to watch everyone else. people would walk by, and hearing their idle chat was comforting. it was comforting in a way. it made her own PROBLEMS seem so small. all the families arguing at the ticket stand was exhausting. eating ice cream seemed simple. sitting there on the bench lily luna hardly noticed the other. heart almost jumping into her throat, lily jumped. “what the----” empty hand flew to her chest, ice cream fell neatly into a patch of grass. “i didn’t even see you ??” eyes were wide, deer in the head lights look on her face. “----i’m pretty sure you just walked in ?? at the entrance ??” rather confused as to what was REALLY going on ?? “maybe i was on break when you purchased your ticket ?? i don’t know ??”

“clawdius!” she yelled, struggling to run after the animal in her heels and gigantic gown. he seemed to be getting away, though she had no idea why he would want to escape her care. thankfully, he stopped short of running into a stranger and started sniffing them up and down. eventually, red caught up to the pair. out of breath, she apologized, “sorry, i’m trying to train him but he’s not a very good listener.” to clawdius, she said, “bad dog!” but he wasn’t a dog at all, but rather a young wolf, no longer small enough to be mistaken for a puppy. “he didn’t, like, bite you or anything, did he?” her tone was unconcerned, because her pet wasn’t much of a biter.

“you know, it’s just like ANY MAN---- you try to get them to listen ?? they never listen when it’s the MOST IMPORTANT thing.” not really sure why this came to mind ?? over a dog, no less ?? “what are you teaching this bad boy ??” staring at it with a wondrous look since it was rather large. “sorta a big guy-- isn’t he ??”

- ̗̀ ⚔ — Magnus RUSHES in, though truly, it is more of a stumble than anything.  He  s k i d s  across the carpeted floor, almost landing face-first if not for his big hands catching him.  His body contracts VIOLENTLY, huge gusts of air entering and leaving his body.  It would’ve been ALARMING, except this is nothing new; he’s been running across the amusement park grounds, technique varying from scapegoat zigzags to feral zombie sprint.  And so there he is, struggling to regain his breath as he squints up at the person standing over his CRUMPLED form.  “No matter what happens—”

“Do NOT eat the  𝓾𝓷𝓲𝓬𝓸𝓻𝓷  𝓭𝓲𝓬𝓴 .”

enjoying a bit of a break, lily luna sat on a bench; lunch sat in her lap. eyes weaved along the crowdedlobby with a tight lipped scowl present on her lips. taking dainty bites as something caught her attention. everything unfolded faster than her eyes could concentrate. that’s when the words escaped his lips. mouth agape, lily luna let out the loudest snort possible. 

“what the hell ??” eyebrows rose with absolute curiosity. “who gave you the WEIRD BROWNIES for lunch ??”

finn had been staring into the funhouse mirror for quite some time. his hair was short now?? that left a weird feeling in the boy— - considering last time he looked at himself his hair was to the floor. shaking his head he flopped his polar bear hat back on, scrunching his nose at the distorted image of himself. turning his robot arm’s setting to be ready to activate sword arm, just in case some kind of villain is lurking in this land. deciding to get some answers, finn approached the nearest person to him. “hey, friendship. what kingdom is this?? I’ve never seen it before— kinda whack.“ the boy started, looking around. everyone seemed super human here, unlike his non-human pals…but where were their hats?? “i’m finn the human, and i’m the– uh— moral sheriff of ooo.“ rhombus title finn!! “do you need any help today??“

it was rather cute that he asked if SHE needed help. really, she didn’t. lily luna knew everything like the back of her hand. when he was revealing himself it confused her to no end. “honestly----  i don’t have any clue what you’re even talking about ??” what the hell did he mean by FRIENDSHIP ?? “are we suddenly friends now ?? is friendship a thing you say when FRIENDSHIP is wanted ??” maybe he needed a friend ?? which was fine with lily luna. maybe she needed to make friends ?? “why are you finn the human ?? we’re all human ?? and--- land, it’s called the EARTH ?? we’re all currently living in the united states--- america, where we’re stuck in syracuse--- new york.”

jughead was finally, FINALLY off his shift from the random ride he was assigned to that day. his normal ride got another operator so he was stuck to the damn merry go round. walking around one of the buildings, jug found a place to sit and write the day so far into his journal. a simple black book with a large THREE written on the spine. the noise of gravel crunching indicated someone approaching him, “ sorry, i’m done for the day. ” not checking if it was a customer or another employee, just lifting his head with a small smile - eyes still focused on his journal.

taking a little break for piece of mind, lily luna rounded a corner. boots crunched against the gravel. music to her ears, really. with her pizza in one hand, drink the other - she was content with the day thus far. “cool---- i’m on break, and i can’t hear one more complaint.” settling herself down against a wall. not caring if the gravel dust got all over her black jeans. “i needed somewhere to eat this without QUESTION after QUESTION.” rolling her eyes so far into the back of her head. “what are you doing anyways ??” digging into her pizza with a smile on her face.

probably a lot angrier than she should because look @ her job. people yell at her a lot, i’m sure. probably seems a lot messier than she is. 

lily luna does think a lot, wrapped up in her own mind. obviously, she is the epitome of BRAVE. i believe she is the mashed up version of her mother & father !!
