FIFA WORLD CUP × ...SEVIKA?
#a/n - i probably got some of you excited with the idea of her playing in the games— which, with her physique, i wouldn't doubt —these are just silly hc's of her fangirling. (i know the world cup is over, buuuut... i had to post this)
#tags ‐ mostly fluff, mentions of intimacy at the end xd
at first, she avoids everything that has anything to do with the world cup.
videos on her phone, ads, posters, conversations...
she'd scoff outloud when people would try to spark small-talk with her about the upcoming game.
"do y'think Portugal will take the win today?"
she'd scoff and say, "I don't like to watch grown men act."
but then, one evening, when you were lounging on the couch — the night's game was on the telly.
you watched Sevika make ways around the living room three times before you caught on.
"baby?" you giggled from the couch.
"yeah?" came her answer from the kitchen.
her face peeked from around the corner.
"are you avoiding the game?" you laughed and tittered.
"... no."
"yes you are!"
"am not!"
you cackled and sat up, stretching your arms as you stood fully.
"sevi, baby, you can't lie for shit."
she scoffed. "i just have better things to do."
you giggled your entire way to the bathroom.
sevika stood in the kitchen doorway.
the TV's light casted greenish shadows onto the wall across the room.
she followed its change.
innocent.
just... vague interest.
and when you came back from your bathroom trip — she was perched in front of the TV with her arms crossed.
a full blown dad stance.
"baby?" you bursted into a fresh set of giggles.
"shh, I'm watching." she shushed you without tearing her eyes off the screen.
"okay, just- can you back up? you're gonna blind yourself." you chuckled and pulled her away from the bright screen.
(it wasn't as much of pulling as it was yanking. she's double your size and tenfold the muscle mass.)
reluctantly, sevika moved.
and then- she stayed there for the entirety of the match: unmoving and concentrated.
she didn't really react.
not once throughout the game did her face change.
...
after that night, nothing really happened.
a while passed without her even once mentioning the momentary lapse in her made-up fight against not-watching football.
she broke her own ridiculous pact, but acted like she didn't.
then, days later, you found her sitting on the couch half an hour before the game was even supposed to start.
elbows on her knees, hands clasped close by her face.
a couple beers, heated up food, the remote right nearby- all prepared.
...
this time, she had reactions.
someone fell?
she pointed at the screen accusingly and cursed out the refs.
"THAT WASN'T A TACKLE! did you see that babe??"
someone managed a good parry?
"knew that one. he's been playin' good the whole game."
her worst reactions came when someone goaled.
no matter if it was the opposing team or not. she literally didn't really care.
she'd stand up and practically roar.
"RIGHT in! baby? did you see that babe?" and, "look!" when the playback came.
it was hard to get her to sit back down after.
though, you kissing the back of her neck always did the trick.
...
and it didn't end there.
not at all.
her newborn enthusiasm continued into other aspects of life.
she would buy shirts dedicated to her favourite players. (learnt their names and all.)
mugs filled your kitchen cabinets.
coasters.
decorations in her car.
collectable cards?? everywhere??
it was ridiculous.
(you loved it.)
the best part of it so far? you getting to do her makeup to watch the finale at some local bar.
she had come to you the day before with practised puppy eyes and that sly smirk you could never resist.
that's how you ended up with sevika sitting on top of the toilet seat to be somewhat level with you as you perfected her makeup.
you'd spend 20 minutes making sure the flags painted on her cheeks were just right.
she'd even asked for matching eyeshadow.
you knew it was a big deal for her, having had the smokey-eye-look going on for decades now. (adorable.)
she was all fucking twichy and jumpy, impatiently asking you,
"are you done? can i see??"
"yes, okay- look."
you pushed her up towards the mirror.
her reaction wasn't immediate, (by now, it was something you had gotten used to, LOL) but when it came - it was hard to miss.
a big, very rare grin spread across her face and she rewarded your hard work with a kiss.
"fuckin' love it," she'd then admire it by the mirror, carefully poking at her face as if to not smudge it.
"it's not that great," you'd groan playfully and have to drag her out of the bathroom. "c'mon. gonna miss that game if we stay here admiring your face all night."
(a wink followed and made her blush.)
...
sevika loved it at the bar.
the atmosphere as a whole was something she enjoyed.
cheering goals with strangers wasn't something she initially thought she'd enjoy, being the calmer type– but surprisingly, it was her favourite part of it all.
(well, second to having you sat on her lap. that was an easy number one.)
and having the bar right by?? her heaven.
at half-time, sevika had managed to surround herself with a dozen drunken patrons – all forcibly staring at her phone screen to follow her merch tour.
(yes, she has pictures of them on her 2017 samsung. even slipped one card into the flip-phone case to show it off.)
she'd go through all of the pictures and leave out nothing.
not a single detail.
"this is a holo card. got it mailed from poland last week."
you giggled at her side throughout it.
all of the guys split the second half-time was over.
sevika'd whisper to you,
"i don't think they care for my collection."
"well, i thought you looked cute..."
sevika shoved her hand to your face just so you couldn't see the flush that crept on hers.
"whatever... game's back on."
- aaaaand just like that, she was back to cheering and roaring with the others.
at the end of it, sevika didn't even care who won. didn't question it once. she didn't have you drawing both countries' flags on her face for nothing!
(plus, her way of paying back for having to deal with her newfound interest was spending the night rolling around in bed.)
(she called it "celebration for the big win.")
(yet, in the morning, neither of you could remember which country won.)
