Alice didn't particularly want the company but she didn't turn Lily away, shifting further across her bed to make room for her, "I'm not really in the m-mood for going out," she admitted, "And I w-won't be any kind of d-decent company."
"You think that that has ever mattered to me?" Lily asked with a raise of her eyebrows. "You say that as if I have never had my moments where I'm horrible company."
"yeah, dad said she had to take a sabbatical," James commented, "What happened? He wouldn't say," he said, taking the drink.
"You should talk to her about the specifics, but she did something bad, like really bad to someone that was involved in the St. Mungo's attack that killed her grandma," Lily said. "I don't know how else to try to get her to get help. I'm trying to be supportive, but I don't know what else to do, James."

Lily crawled into Alice's bed next to her, much like they used to do when they were kids during the Holidays and stays Alice did at the Burrow. "My weekend is officially free. Let's go do something."

"I'm worried about Alice," Lily said, taking a seat next to James on the couch, handing him his drink. "I don't know what to do." It felt like how she felt when James was at his worst with his addiction.
Alice jumped slightly when she heard Lily's voice, "Oh," she said, managing a smile as she got over the small shock, "Sorry, I didn't know you w-were up. I was ju-just, getting a sn-snack. I g-guess I didn't have enough dinner," she explained.
"Oh," Lily said, "Mind if I join you? I didn't eat much for dinner either, I got distracted by grading papers."
"Okay, I'll go for that then. Maybe just a slice or two. Do you... Do you want to split one?" she asked, "I mean, if you're hungry. It's my treat."
"Uh, sure," Lily replied with a nod. "I can go for some pizza. Do you want to maybe do half and half, like half mushroom and spinach and half pepperoni? That way if you make it. through the mushroom and spinach, you can try the pepperoni, or even eat it as leftovers instead tomorrow to get it off your list too?"
James laughed sheepishly, "I was trying to build Alex's big kid bed before Kenz got home as a surprise. Serves me right for trying to build it by hand instead of magic," he explained.
"Did you break that piece?" Lily asked, pointing to the weirdly placed one. "I don't think it's supposed to look like that at all."

Lily was up late grading some papers. She looked up when she saw Alice at her door. "Hey, I thought you went to bed."
"Yeah, it's a thing I'm trying. I saw it on social media where you put all your fear foods on a piece of paper and pull one out of a hat or whatever. I'm trying one a week to add them to safe food. This week is pizza," Pippa smiled. She hadn't really explained it in such detail to everyone else but she knew Lily understood, "Actually, spinach on pizza sounds nice. Maybe I should try some kind of veggie one."
"I think starting slow is definitely better, even just trying something new on it to find something new you love before you get into it. I started with mushroom and spinach before I fully went into a pepperoni one."

Lily let out a loud laugh at her brother. "James, seriously?" she asked. "What in the world are you even trying to do?"
"Okay, really important question," Pippa said in a serious tone, "What is your favourite kind of pizza? I'm taking a poll. It is of vital importance," she continued without explaining further.
"You're taking a poll on favorite pizza?" Lily asked with a raise of her eyebrows. "Okay, uh, probably a tie between just plain cheese pizza and pizza with spinach and mushrooms on top."
"Understandably so," she related when Lily said it also took a lot for her to actually give a detention. "Now that is a little too real," Elena then nodded. "Something about it just feels a little... off. Like they keep ending up in that same position despite the intent of detentions being the opposite. It just seems like we should be trying something else with them."

"Normally no, but you've got a mouth so loud it's practically inviting the entire room to take part. In otherwords, we couldn't miss your conversation if we tried." Nathaniel answered drolly, not perturbed at all by her tone. "And I suggest you learn to find a volume button because everyone knows what you're talking about."

"It's not a problem. I get those beauty boxes every now and again and they have set me off on some really nice products. The only problem is, some are expensive but I suppose if you have to buy them less frequently, it does even out."

"Just how many things do you have lost in your classroom that you need to make a specific place for them all, Lily?" Jackson spoke in amusement when she suggested he make a lost and found area in his room.

"Oh yeah, the s-salads are great. I might go for some-something else though," Alice admitted.
