i really loved the moments where the dsmp members took advantage of streaming as a medium, but i can really only think of 2 examples

when ponk announced that an ad break was coming, it cut to that godzilla (?) ad that was playing all the time on twitch, but a few seconds in it "glitched" back to a flashback scene in minecraft before the ad finished playing, and ponk didn't acknowledge that anything had happened

when seapeekay went afk in the egg room and left his webcam on so chat could see his chair, and then his character started moving on its' own towards the egg

can anyone think of any other examples i love stuff like this

YESS RAUGHH adding onto this with other cool moments i remember with the streaming medium (maybe not on the same level but still my favs)

when tubbo found tommy's tower and immediately disconnected from the server, shut off his webcam, and turned off the stream

when ant was killed during the red banquet and the stream ended and people had to rush to other povs to find out what happened afterwards instead of just him respawning and continuing from there

and (not so much streaming as just general video media specific) when jack was having issues with his screen capture where the screen kept sporadically going black and he explained it as being a result of c!jack drinking so often (literally getting blackout drunk)

i also wanna mention philza doing a "normal" hardcore stream on nov 16, presenting it as a way to chill from all the lore, before he suddenly jumps on to stop c!wilbur from pushing the button

It's one of my biggest woes that some of my favorite characters ever created are stuck in hundreds upon hundreds of hours of livestreamed Minecraft gameplay. And to comprehend them you must hook yourself up to a Suspension Of Disbelief IV drip and stay up all night with a corkboard. And all of that only applies if it's not lost media at this point. Which it very well could be. But also that's the only way to truly understand them, and it's the only format they could've been created in. And once you make the effort, you will reach enlightenment. But only once you jump through all the hoops. And it's all objectively fascinating in a sort of media phenomenon kinda way, but it's also hell on earth for someone who just wants to share their interests and make people understand.
