I was tagged by @flavenne thank you (for remembering me xD) 🤗
Rules: Answer the questions and tag as many people as you like!
1) The national team you support: Germany and Denmark, but I doubt the latter will do much.
2) The national team you wouldn’t mind winning: Switzerland or Brazil.
3) The national team you love to hate: Argentina.
4) The favourite player from your national team: Christian Eriksen and Jannik Vestergaard, don’t make me choose xD
5) A player you dislike from your national team: None of them, really.
6) A player you love from a national team you hate: Paulo Dybala.
7) A player who deserves the call up: Alvaro Morata, and despite I’m not a big fan of him, Leroy Sane.
8) The first World Cup you can remember: World Cup 1998 in France was the first one I remember but I only watched some selective matches. 2002 in Korea/Japan was the first one that I closely followed.
9) Your favourite World Cup so far: 2014 was really good and my fave country won, but 2002 was special.
10) The winner of the 2018 World Cup: I’m rooting for Germany but I’m not keeping my hopes too much up. Brazil normally does well in the World Cup, and if we’re talking about a surprising underdog my money’s on Belgium.
I’ve seen my mutuals being tagged, so I’m not tagging anyone. But feel free to do it. :)
Tumblr’s at it again, thanks to the new European Privacy Laws. There’s probably nobody who will read this, but it pissed me off so much that I decided to make a post about it. (Ignore the weird language mish-mash, depending on your country the language might differ.)
OK, so many of us get this screen when we try to access our dash:
Realise how the ‘OK’ button is a nice, attention-grabbing blue? If you’re like me, you’re not exactly into reading a 100 pages document and tend to just click it.
My tip? DONT. Instead click on ‘Manage Options’ right next to it:
Now you’ll see this page:
Still pretty harmless, right? That ‘Accept’ button is looking really attractive right now. Instead, click on Verwalten (Probably something like ‘Manage Options’ or something in english) and you’ll get to this page:
Now that’s not too bad, right? I just switched all the buttons to ‘off’, because I’m jealously guarding my personal information and don’t want Tumblr to go off and do who knows what with it. Looks like we’re done! But wait: There’s a SHOW option.
When we click on that one, what we will get is this:
A HUGE list with OVER 300 ENTRIES of companies that can use your data by default if you’d just clicked ‘OK’ on that very first page. Coincidence that this list is hidden that much? Me thinks not. They’re all switched on by default, but I am still a petty bitch that doesn’t want to give out her data, so I switched them all off. All 300+ of them. There is no option to switch them all off at once, and even if you disable all the options above, the companies are still switched on.
(If you wonder how i got that number, I copied the list into excel and looked at the cell number. No way am I actually counting all those entries)
I adjusted the fanfiktion.de ratings to the ao3 ones to make it uniform. P12 Slash = Teen; P16 Slash = Mature, P18 Slash = Explicit, non-Slash = General Audiences. If in doubt, I chose a higher rating
If I knew/was able to find the tumblr of the author, I included them, please inform me if you know more!
This is of course only a selection of my favourites, there are many more awesome stories out there
Leave likes, kudos and comments on the fics! I promise you, the authors treasure every single one!
I was looking at my fic folder and saw this, which is a deleted scene from The Boy Next Door. I didn’t include it in the fic because it doesn’t fit, but I must have liked it then because I didn’t delete it. So I thought I’d share it here. :)
If you haven’t read the fic, this probably won’t make sense.
Patrick keeps beating Jonas on FIFA, and he hates that. Although he should have known better than to keep challenging him. He’ll get his butt kicked, every single fucking time. Patrick is the best FIFA player he knows (only Juli could beat him—on a good day), and today is no different.
“You’re getting worse, man,” Patrick teases, laughing as the game finishes with him winning 6-2 over Jonas.
“Shut up,” Jonas tells him, though there’s no heat in his voice. “You play way more than I do.”
Patrick stands up. “Yeah, yeah,” he says dismissively, placing the controller on the table. “Got any food?”
“There’s some chocolate cake in the fridge. And cold pizza—“ He hasn’t finished when Patrick grins and stalks off to the kitchen. “Hey, don’t eat them all,” Jonas warns him and gets no reply. Of course. Why is he here again?
He’s thinking about checking his phone for messages but then remembers that he left it on the balcony when he opened the door for Patrick. Summer always feels short, so Jonas wanted to make the most of it, and today the weather was great.
There it is, his phone, lying on the table. Jonas grabs it and makes a move to leave, when he hears a familiar voice.
“Is he the reason why you didn’t wanna have dinner with me?”
Jonas almost drops his phone. “God, Leon, you startled me.” He clutches his phone, looking over at the balcony next door. He can see Leon—or mostly his silhouette, since it’s pretty dark—sitting on one of the chairs.
“Sorry.”
“I… didn’t know you’re home,” Jonas says, feeling ridiculous for blushing. He hopes Leon won’t see it. Then he remembers that Leon can’t see him in this darkness, and it makes him feel even more stupid.
Leon turns to look at him, the light from his flat inside illuminates half his face, while the other side remains obscured. He looks so damn perfect that Jonas can’t help but feeling a little breathless. How is it possible for a person to look that… beautiful?
“I’ve been home for a while,” Leon replies.
Jonas doesn’t know what to respond to that. Luckily, he hears Patrick call him out from inside. “What are you doing out there? Come on.”
He breathes out in relief. “Coming,” he shouts towards the flat, before looking at Leon again. “Talk to you later?”
“Sure, don’t let the boyfriend waiting,” Leon says. Jonas isn’t sure if he picks up anything in his voice; it’s as calm as always.
The balcony door was open all evening, meaning that Leon must have heard them. But Jonas doesn’t have to explain that Patrick isn’t his boyfriend. In fact, it will most likely stop Leon from flirting with him, which is what he wants, right? So, Jonas doesn’t know why he opens his mouth and says, “He’s my friend, not my boyfriend.”
He waits for Leon to say something, but after a while it’s obvious that he won’t. Taking a deep breath, Jonas walks inside and closes the door.
