lionking-sleyā:
āBless you. I love it, Iām in love. Iāve got yours for you as well, for once we sit down.ā He said, hugging the container of gingerbread men to his chest with reverence. As much as he loved his Mumās holiday baking, and he really truly did, something about the Evans family gingerbread recipe just couldnāt be beat. Giving the container another reverent look he tucked them away in his bag with some of the dog supplies before taking the ice creams.Ā
āBreakās been wonderful, really. Nice to see family and get away from the castle.ā He said honestly. More accurately, nice to get away from hiding from Remus like the coward he was. Some Gryffindor he made. Kingsley hesitated, remembering that Lily and Remus were close. Maybe sheād seen him, maybe sheād know how he was. Not like Kingsley had much right to care butā¦Ā āErr, have you⦠have you talked to Remus, by any chance?ā
Lily dropped the coins for the ice creams into the serverās hand, thanking him politely as she did, before leading Kingsley away from the counter and towards a comfy looking booth in the corner. His reaction to the present was heartening; it wasnāt a lot and she knew it, but she absolutely loved giving gifts, no matter how big or small. Any opportunity to make her friendās smile and sheād take it, honestly.
āI do miss it a bit, though. I think I take it for granted a bit, having house elves there to run around after me and do my washing ā I almost forgot that my mum expects me to tidy my own room. The audacity of it is shocking,ā she hummed, grinning afterwards so that heād know she was only joking. āIāve spoke to Remus a bit, yeah, he stayed back at the castle for the holidays, but weāre going to arrange a meet up in Hogsmeade.ā She paused for a moment, āIf you fancy joining us, maybe?ā
