Confession

Well, I’ve been putting this off for a long time. I just realize what it’s like to be a shadow, to try to be like some idol, and how damaging that is to my health. So right now I’ll just make it clear that I’ll most likely quit Tumblr again, since I realize there’s no point in pouring my heart out there. Chasing a dream is pretty silly, especially when I’m trying to achieve it in a way that I myself don’t even want to keep doing. Trying to show myself as creative in any way just to be more noticeable—“I matter, please look at me, I beg you.”

Now I’m just a ghost of my former self—a grumpy shadow that seems to be constantly searching everywhere for light and pleasant moments, but ultimately breaks down.

Well, after a long time without an asset, I roll out lonely, tired and fucked to death. Yes, I have not used obscenities before, but God, who cares, eh?

Okay, let's get down to business. Here's the job, do what and how you want. I don't give a fuck .

Some more Look Outside character exploration animations; walk cycles for Jeanne and Audrey, a transformation sequence for Leigh and some camera work for Lyle. Process notes under the cut.

Jeanne - very fascinated by her trunk; it’s a gorgeous sprite, but it’s hard to tell exactly what’s going on with it, so of course I had to try to lay it all out logically. Heavy, lumbering gait on four (five?) legs that I could probably make a little clumsier looking… ah well. Animating the severed necks would be an exercise in weight and auxiliary movement that I don’t quite have the energy for yet.

Audrey - Much like Cabinet Man before her, Audrey’s combination of precise, geometric form moved by organic components makes her a bit of a pain to animate, but fun nontheless. I like how her sprite gives her stompy feet… she must be kinda top-heavy, so I wonder if I should have made her list side-to-side more? Eh, perhaps a future goal. I gave her toe beans because… it just felt right.

Leigh - The sprites for this game aren’t exactly the most consistant, so it took a while to figure out exactly what was going on with The Grinning Beast. I did want to animate a transformation sequence though, so I did my best with the available information. Hopefully this doesn’t count as nsfw… it’s cartoon logic ok

Lyle - Lyle’s camera and suite of eyes are definitely able to move around his chest (neck, technically) Once again, the sprites aren’t quite consistant, but you can see the camera clearly pointing head-on with his eyes rearranged to accomodate it when you peek at him, as opposed to carried upright on his “shoulder” during his bossfight. I thought that was really neat, so I wanted to conceptualize how his eyes would make way for the aparatus. Five pairs make for ten in all, as well as the aparatus’ three partners (view finders, perhaps?) I neglected the bellows for the eyes for simplicity’s sake (once again, cabinet man problem) but I tried to give them all a little extra personality to make up for it.

Since I can't be creative lately, as before, the posts have become even less frequent. It's as if at least someone remembers me. But okay, for now, here's a post with skkts. Just another oc for the cryptid crush project. Emet Grevsson. The ghost of the old caretaker of the Longhope forest park area. He was forcibly drowned, as he was suspected of knowing one dark secret behind someone important. He actually became a vengeful ghost in a abandoned building, craving to justify his actions, and posses someones body to kill the bastard he gotten to deal in the past. If you have questions, where is his mouth and nose? Answer: bag on the head. Do boots look strange? Decomposed concrete after a long time at the bottom of the lake.
