@lime-ia-blog
âAffirmative. I will like that deal very much.â Looking to the pixie, his head tilted in curiosity. Make flowers bloom? She could create life? âWow, you are an extraordinary pixie, Lime. I would be honoured if you could show me. Is that⌠is that allowed? You can do this at any time, yes?â Wyatt would very much not like to get Lime in trouble but he was curious and he would like to see this creation of life if he could. âIf you will not get in trouble, please do it at any time.â With practiced motions, Wyatt sat down carefully. He made sure his steam blew the other way while he waited in anticipation.Â
Lime gave her cheeks a tentative pat, feeling them heat up at his compliment. She was used to being the giver, not the receiver. âIâm not extraordinary, silly. Every spring pixie can do it, itâs nothing special,â she retorted, though her bright smile never faltered for a second. Waiting for him to sit, she turned her back to him and tiptoed away to find what she needed. A few moments later she returned, a delicate flower bud held between her fingers. âItâs no trouble at all,â she assured him. All it took was the touch of her hand and the petals slowly unfurled into a small white daisy.Â
[ whispers Lime has three plots - so many, Iâm so productive oh man, really outdone myself - but anyway theyâre here idk more will be added when I think of them heh ]
thomas-ia:
âI think it is important to know how I do it so I can become better at itâŚâ Thomas said, it was honestly something he wondered about himself. If he knew how he did what he did, was he able to improve his skills? Or would it ruin the experience? âThank you, ahâŚâ He laughed a little shyly âIt isnât that cool, making things grow, that is cool. And useful too, changing colors doesnât really help anyone.â
âI suppose Iâve been doing it way too long to think of making flowers bloom as something cool, itâs just the norm to me, you know.â Lime shrugged and brushed stray hair out of her eyes. âSo when did you first find out? Mustâve been weird, suddenly being able to change the colour of things. What about your family, can they do it too?â
thomas-ia:
âYou are insane Lime..â he mumbled but he was smiling at her before shaking his head with a sigh. âSo, now that you know how your phone works. What will you do next? Maybe download some games? You know games?â He asked as he grabbed his own phone and opened up Candy Crush. âSee, it is a fun way to pass the time.â He handed her the phone to let her try. âYou have to align the candy to make them go away and then you get points.â
âI know,â the pixie agreed with a shrug, âtakes one to know one, though.â she joked with a playful wink. The look of pure confusion she gave him showed just how much she really knew about phones; next to nothing. While her mind pondered how a game could even fit in something as small as that, she held his phone in both hands and looked back at him. âSo how do I do this? Just poke the screen? Shake the phone? Perform some kind of satanic ritual to win?â she gave the screen an experimental poke, raising her eyebrows as the candies moved around.Â
thomas-ia:
âWait what-â Oh she caught his blush alright, a bright red face was seen on the picture and right after it was taken Thomas hid his face in his hands embarrassed. âOh my deities, Lime.â he whined, the skin where she kissed him feeling ticklish. He eyed her from the corner of his eyes. âWhyâd you have to do that, I look silly on that picture.â
With her elbow she nudged his arm, a sly grin on her face. âNonsense!â she waved the phone around, utterly intent on keeping that very photo until the day she died. âItâs a perfect photo, your blushing cheeks are the cutest thing.â As far as she was concerned she was only stating the obvious, one hundred percent sure everybody else would agree with her; how couldnât they? âYou donât look silly, you only think you look silly. I can tell you in all honesty that this-â she pointed to his blushing face in the picture, â-is not what silly looks like.â
kimhyolyn-ia:
The vampire stepped close, her gaze moving over the girls face with slight curiosity. âYou can make flowers so- Youâre a pixie?â She inquired, inhaling softly to take in the girls scent. âHmm.. Almost as bad as the fae. But no problem.â
âA spring pixie,â the lime haired girl corrected politely, head tilting as the other inhaled. âWell now Iâm glad I put all that deodorant on, what with you sniffing me and all. Youâre a strange one, but I like you already. I bet weâll get along like a house on fire.âÂ
thomas-ia:
Thomas pressed the button and a click sounded as the picture was taken he saved it and showed it to Lime. âSee? You can make photoâs with everyone you like, and most people call it selcaâs. You know from self and camera⌠Back in England people call it Selfieâs but that doesnât make much senseâŚâ He shrugged. âIs it okay if I send the picture to my phone too?â He blushed a little before looking at Lime and adding âBy the way, if you need anything for the phone⌠or in general⌠just send me a text okay?â
The pixie wrinkled her nose at the sight of her own face, picking up on all the things wrong with it right away. âSelcas and selfies, both sound pretty weird. Oh sure, go ahead. Iâll probably send you loads of selca selfies - yâknow, when I figure out how to, anyway.â She nodded at him, then held the phone up to her face, trying to figure out how to take another picture. After pressing a few things she finally reached the right one, âI need to capture your blush.â She announced, rather nonchalantly. Without any further hesitation she assumed the selca position next to him, at the last second turning to kiss his cheek and snap the photo, hoping sheâd catch his rosy cheeks.Â
thomas-ia:
Thomas laughed and shook his head. âNo no, it is an illusion, sort of. I can change the color of things, it has to do with light manipulation⌠I donât really know how I do it, I have been able to since I was young. And only as long as I am aware of an object, like your hair, it remains that color. I can only change color so yeah I could change my eyes.â His eyes shifted from the hazel color to a bright blue and he chuckled before all colors fell away. Limeâs hair was back to the original shade and Thomas looked like the good old Thomas.
âI donât know how I make flowers bloom either. Knowing would probably make it less magic though, right?â honestly sheâd never even thought to look into it. Magic had always been a given, a norm sheâd grown used to after all these years. With a quick shake of her head she pushed all thoughts of magic and itâs origins to the back of her mind, instead shifting her gaze back to Thomas. âHazel looks a lot nicer, it suits your face.â She gave his cheeks a light pat with her palms, âNah I changed my mind, you donât need to change a thing, all the colours are right already. Itâs amazing though, being able to do all that. Cool.âÂ
thomas-ia:
âYeah good job. And uh, you can download songs from the internet and then use them as a ringtone⌠Wait I might have one you like⌠I used to work at a radio station you know⌠He gestured for her phone and took it from her as he send a song to her phone and put it as ringtone. Then he called her and the song sounded. âYou like it? If you ever want a song as ringtone just ask me okay?â He smiled and then held up her phone as he opened the camera app and gestured for her to come closer. âHere, come closer⌠ah and smile.âÂ
âAh yes, the Internet....â sheâd heard the word many times before, mainly on television and in movies. Despite not really understanding what it was and how downloading worked, she nodded along as if she knew anyway, and just prayed she wouldnât need to delve further into the subject. She listened intently, humming along a little out-of-tune, tapping her fingers on her knees. âI like it.â she smiled and reached over to call herself again, just to give the catchy song another listen. âOh are we taking one together?â already smiling, the pixie shuffled as close as she could, pressing the side of her head to his. âCheese!â
thomas-ia:
âI know, master of deduction.â Thomas answered, watching the phone in her hands and then nodded. âYes but you will need their number. And you can make photoâs.. videoâs⌠send text messagesâŚâ He pulled out his own phone and showed it to her. âSee, I have one too. Here-â He sat next to her and pushed on the screen where she could add contacts. âIf you press here, you just need someoneâs number to-âŚâ He added his own number and saved it under âThomasâ. Then he clicked the green phone button and seconds later his own phone started buzzing and emitting a catchy pop song. âSee, if you get a lot of numbers from people, you can call them. Or send them a text message.â
She watched his movements carefully, brow furrowed in absolute concentration. Asking for help was generally something she disliked doing, so she wanted to learn all she could - though no doubt sheâd sidle over to him in the future with some kind of phone related problem. âOkay wait, let me try this text message thing.â She poked gently at the screen, clicking on a few things before she found the right one. Typing a simple âhelloâ at the slowest pace, she finally sent it to him, a look of achievement on her face. âHey this is pretty easy! But how do I get the music? You know, when you called your phone?â
thomas-ia:
âNo but before you also never saw a girl flutter around.â He returned pouting a little. âI didnât grow up with magic, I donât know.â He chuckled then and turned the hair a little darker and then eyed her hair,. turning that dark red too. âYeah, letâs keep my eyes where they are and-â He held up a metal plate that was abandoned on the table to show Lime her âredâ hair.Â
âGood point. I keep forgetting, not the best memory in the world,â she said, raising her hand to knock on the top of her head with a closed fist. âYes! Exactly like that! I was right though, red does suit you.â She leaned back just to give a nod of approval, until she caught sight of herself in the plate. With wide eyes she stared at her reflection, âYou can do it to other people too? What else can you do? Change eye colour? Oh can you change appearance completely? Thatâd be amazing, just imagine the mischief!â she rambled on, all the while poking and brushing her ânewâ hair with her fingers.Â
thomas-ia:
Thomas chuckled and shrugged, maybe it was really normal for Lime to sing to flowers. âDo the flowers sing too?â He asked, ever so curious about this strange magical world. Then, as she held her hair to his he blushed again and then leaned back before concentrating and changing the color of his hair to a bright red. âWhat do you think?â he asked with a small smile. Hoping that his power wouldnât freak her out like it had put people off in the past.
âNow youâre being weird, of course they donât sing back. Have you ever seen a flower with a mouth?â she rolled her eyes, though her smile never faltered even for a second. For a split second she couldâve sworn her eyes were playing tricks on her, mouth dropping open as she watched his hair change colour. Thoroughly impressed, and honestly a little envious - she had to use various plants to dye her hair - she clapped her hands, âTen out of ten, best thing Iâve seen all week! Although-â she rubbed her chin, âA darker red might bring out your eyes more. Not literally of course, thatâd be gruesome.â
thomas-ia:
âI donât think.. you will make friends if you do that..â Thomas mumbled, worst part was that he could imagine Lime doing it instead of just saying it. âIâm sorry- canât help it.â He mumbled and cleared his throat, hazel eyes flickering around as he tried to concentrate on something else but the pixie in front of him. Who was currently holding the phone in a strange way and he wondered if she was trying to get a signal or if she really lost her mind. âPretty- I am not silly.â He said as he nodded to the phone. âSo uh.. you have a phone.â Well done Thomas, really smooth.
Lime lowered the phone again, resuming her curious gazing at the screen. Technology really was a wonderful thing, even if she had no idea what she was doing with the hunk of metal. âYouâre an observant creature, arenât you.â she smiled, eyes turning to crescent moons, âYes I have a phone now, I just donât know what to do with it, but it seemed most people had them so...â so she had hopped on the bandwagon as swiftly as she could, to try fit in. âI know you can call people with it, yeah? Take pictures too. How on earth this little phone can do all that, I have no idea.âÂ
thomas-ia:
âYou sing to flowers? Why?â He asked a little confused as he tried to imagine Lime singing âGangnam Styleâ to the flowers and the flowers dancing the signature move with her. He shook his head, weird ideas. âEh, maybe it is your hair?â He suggested, not going to mention that usually people were less loud and less⌠whatever the hell Lime was. Lovely but⌠something odd.Â
âI didnât think it was such a weird thing to do,â she raised her eyebrows. Out of all the things sheâd done in the past, singing to flowers had to be the mildest. Then again, she had to keep reminding herself she was no longer in the fairy realm now. She plucked at her hair and nodded slowly in agreement, âMm, it must be. I wonder how youâd look with lime hair?â leaning closer, she held a tuft of her hair to his, glancing to the side, âNope, not your colour. But red, maybe.â
