I just queued this for a year

It’s fun to eat cucumbers as they come, just biting into that shit like a carrot, skin and all

For some reason people give you really weird looks for it and it’s funny

Today was really busy at work, people were crowding in the lobby waiting for their order to be taken and I was the only one working the counter

I was running around, collecting items and completing orders for the customers, the line was getting longer because I could only focus on one person at a time

I was taking care of a customer and his wife, at the end of the order, the wife looked at me and told me I was doing great, which admittedly made me happy, it made me feel good

The woman after her in line came up and gave me her order, then said to me “you’re doing a great job sweetheart” and tipped me, and I responded enthusiastically because this and the other compliment made my day

It’s always nice to feel appreciated, especially when you’re under a lot of stress, sometimes something as small as a positive comment is all someone needs to hear :)

To those of you that eat at restaurants with self serving kiosks, p l e a s e use them. They’re there for a reason. If you see that there’s only one person serving an entire line of people and there’s open kiosks, you’d get your food much faster if you just ordered yourself.

I have such a hard time recalling events in my life unless I’m reminded somehow, I have to write about an important experience of some sort that impacted me somehow, and I’m drawing a blank. Someone tell my brain to cooperate with me please. :(
