Hi friends,
It is difficult for me to find the words to describe what we face every day in Gaza; with no food, no medicine, no clean drinking water; with oppression, helplessness, psychological pressures, doubts, and daily traumas caused by everything around us and inability to care for loved ones. the fear of danger, disease and death never leaves us.
Now, I find myself in this difficult situation, and humbly ask for your help to save the lives of my family, and helping us have money for medication or other necessities we may have access to.
Asking for help is not easy, but we were left with no choice because we want to survive and we strive to rebuild our broken lives. We are very grateful for any help you can provide, no matter how small, as your help will contribute greatly to alleviating our suffering.
I hope you will share my story with your family and friends.

Is there a conflict of interest with Luigi Mangione and the judge overseeing his pretrial hearings?
U.S. Magistrate Judge Katharine H. Parker is overseeing the pretrial hearings of Luigi Mangione, who is accused of murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Recent reports have highlighted potential conflicts of interest due to Judge Parker's financial and familial connections to the healthcare industry.
According to her 2023 financial disclosures, Judge Parker holds between $50,000 and $100,000 in Pfizer stock. Her investment portfolio also includes shares in other healthcare-related companies, such as Abbott Laboratories, Viatris, and CRISPR Therapeutics. Additionally, her husband, Bret Parker, served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at Pfizer until 2010 and continues to receive a pension from the company.
While there is no public evidence indicating that Judge Parker owns stock in UnitedHealthcare specifically, her substantial investments in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, along with her husband's former executive role at Pfizer, have raised concerns about a potential conflict of interest in a case involving the healthcare industry.
It's important to note that Judge Parker is currently handling pretrial matters and is not expected to preside over Mangione's trial.

Dr. Phil's involvement with politics and ICE/immigration raids
Dr. Phil McGraw has recently become more involved in political activities, particularly concerning immigration enforcement. In late January 2025, he accompanied U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents during deportation operations in Chicago. This initiative was part of his new show on Merit TV, where he documented the arrests and conducted interviews with detainees. Notably, he interviewed a convicted sex offender from Thailand during the operation.
Dr. Phil and his film crew joined border czar Tom Homan and agents on some immigrations raids and livestreamed them on Merit TV, which he fo
This collaboration with ICE has sparked significant controversy. Critics, including Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul, have expressed concerns that Dr. Phil's involvement might trivialize serious law enforcement activities. In response, Dr. Phil emphasized that his coverage aimed to present factual information and shed light on the complexities of immigration enforcement.
After filming a ride-along with ICE as they caught illegal immigrant criminals, Dr. Phil called out the media for how they responded to the
Prior to this, in October 2024, Dr. Phil publicly endorsed former President Donald Trump during a rally at Madison Square Garden. He defended Trump against accusations of bullying and criticized what he perceived as the "canceling" of Trump supporters. Following backlash, Dr. Phil clarified that his speech was an act of rebellion and claimed he had offered to deliver a similar speech at a rally for Vice President Kamala Harris, though he did not receive a response.
TV personality claimed he offered to give the identical speech at a Harris rally
These actions have marked a notable shift in Dr. Phil's public persona, aligning him more closely with political discourse and policy advocacy, especially in the realm of immigration.
Dr. Phil (Phil McGraw) is not currently licensed to practice as a doctor. He holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, but he has not been a licensed psychologist since 2006. His Texas psychology license was voluntarily retired, and he was never licensed to practice in California, where his show was based. However, since he does not provide therapy on his shows but rather offers general advice and entertainment, he does not legally need a license.
Personally, I can't stand this man. He has made a career around bringing people onto his shows so that he can publicly humiliate them on TV. I always found him to be very shallow and surface level about things, and also extremely critical. He's doing it to entertain, to get attention in the media. he is an entertainer. He's not currently licensed to practice as a doctor, yet that's his whole image/reputation. He is a bully. That is what bullies do. He has been known to do this to children/minors/underaged people, and also to send them away to camps of the troubled teen industry, which have resulted in deaths, forced labor, harming children, and have been known to cause severe trauma in people. He pretends that this is not the case. He pretends that he has no involvement and doesn't know anything about it. He's defended Donald Trump, ignoring how many of his policies are harmful to the people of this country. I personally believe he is a trumper. I personally find it disgusting because he's completely ignoring that ICE is going into elementary schools and churches, as well as workplaces, and putting into effect mass deportations. You can argue all you want that they're only going after the bad people, the criminals and terrorists, but they are going after the sweet nice old ladies who clean houses and clean bathrooms in malls/airports/hospitals, etc. They are going after good people, some of which have been in the US for decades, and I personally am highly against this and find it disgusting. They could make them citizens. They choose not to. They would rather push the narrative that immigrants are the root of all evil in this country. I will never support this.
I will never support "Dr" Phil, he is a weak, beta of a man, trying to gain attention in the media, sucking up to the dictator of America. He is a bully supporting a bully.
If you want to learn more about some of the horrible things he's done, look up the story of Danielle Bregoli. I may write an article about that situation too.
Recently, a group called the Freeze Latino Movement has initiated a boycott against several American companies, including Coca-Cola, Walmart, McDonald's, Starbucks, and others. This action is in response to ongoing deportations conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The activists are encouraging consumers to refrain from spending money on these corporations and to opt for products made in Mexico or Latin America instead. Their website urges, "Latinos and Latinas stop spending money. Hold the line. We can all collectively make a big impact by simply holding and not spending our money."
https://www.kron4.com/news/national/latino-group-calls-for-boycott-of-coca-cola-walmart-and-more-over-deportations/?utm_source=chatgpt.com
Additionally, there have been unverified claims circulating on social media suggesting that Coca-Cola has collaborated with ICE by reporting its own employees. However, as of now, there is no substantial evidence or official reports to confirm these allegations. Discussions on platforms like Reddit indicate that some companies may cooperate with ICE during audits or investigations, but specific actions by Coca-Cola have not been documented.
It's important to note that these claims remain unsubstantiated, and no official statements from Coca-Cola or credible news sources have verified such actions.
As of right now, 2/10/25 I wonder if the claim is true or not. I wonder if that's something we're gonna find out later on, or if it's just simply not true.

đ A Plea from Gaza: Rolaâs Story đ
Hello, my name is Rola, and I am a mother of two children living in the Gaza Strip. Our lives were once filled with love, laughter, and dreams for the future. But everything changed on October 7th, when the war shattered not only our home but our entire world.
That morning, my family and I were enjoying coffee together on the balcony. Out of nowhere, an explosion erupted, shaking our home violently. My husband and son ran for cover, falling over each other in panic, while I stood frozen, still holding my cup, unable to process the chaos around me. When I looked out the window, I saw that our neighborâs house, once filled with life, had been reduced to rubble. Ambulances rushed to the scene as people scrambled to rescue the injured and pull bodies from the debris.
The bombings didnât stop. At night, the rain poured heavily, and the cold seeped into our bones. I stayed awake, covering my children to keep them warm and praying for their safety. But safety is an illusion here. Another explosion shattered the night, and our neighborsâ home was destroyed. Their children, who had been sleeping peacefully under a blanket, were found lifeless, their cover soaked in blood.
I looked at my children with tears in my eyes and thought, How can I protect you? We had to flee our home with nothing but the clothes on our backs. We left behind my childrenâs toys, their clothes, and their beautiful bedroom. Everything we had worked so hard to build is gone.
Our Current Reality Now, we are displaced and living in a nightmare. Food is scarce, and prices are unimaginably highâ$10 for a kilo of sugar! The fear of death hangs over us constantly. My children deserve a life of joy and hope, not one defined by fear and loss. Why canât we live like everyone elseâgo to work, visit family, and watch our children play in safety? Why do our children have to grow up surrounded by death and destruction?
How You Can Help I am pleading for your kindness to help us rebuild our lives. We need your support to: đ Rebuild our home, so my children can feel safe again. đ Evacuate from Gaza, seeking a future where my family can live with dignity. đ©ș Provide urgent medical care for my children, who need protection from this nightmare.
Even the smallest donation can make a difference. If you canât donate, please share my story. Every share brings us closer to hope.
What Your Support Means Your kindness is not just about helping us survive; itâs about giving us a chance to dream again. To rebuild what weâve lost and to ensure my children have a future filled with possibilities, not fear.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your support means the world to us. Letâs work together to rebuild hope, one step at a time.

How does the most red state compare to the most blue state in the US as far as education, quality of life, economy, poverty, healthcare, and obesity?
When comparing Oklahoma and Massachusetts across various metricsâeducation, quality of life, economy, poverty, healthcare, and obesityâsignificant differences emerge:
Education:
Massachusetts: Renowned for its educational excellence, Massachusetts consistently ranks among the top states in the U.S. It is home to prestigious institutions like Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The state boasts high high school graduation rates and a well-educated populace.
Oklahoma: In contrast, Oklahoma ranks near the bottom in education metrics. A fact-checking source places Oklahoma's education ranking at 49th in the nation. Facebook
Quality of Life:
Massachusetts: According to World Population Review, Massachusetts ranks ninth in quality of life among U.S. states, attributed to its strong education system, high median household income, and robust healthcare services. World Population Review
Oklahoma: The same source indicates that Oklahoma ranks lower in quality of life, often due to challenges in healthcare access, higher poverty rates, and educational shortcomings.
Economy:
Massachusetts: The state has a diverse and thriving economy, with a high median household income of approximately $86,000, placing it among the highest in the nation. World Population Review
Oklahoma: Oklahoma remains one of the nation's poorer states, with lower personal income levels. However, it benefits from a lower cost of living, which can offset some economic disadvantages. The Oklahoman
Poverty:
Massachusetts: The state has relatively low poverty rates, supported by its strong economy and social services.
Oklahoma: Oklahoma experiences higher poverty rates compared to the national average, influenced by lower income levels and educational disparities.
Healthcare:
Massachusetts: The Commonwealth Fund's 2023 Scorecard ranks Massachusetts as having the best overall health system performance in the U.S., excelling in access, quality, and outcomes. The Commonwealth Fund
Oklahoma: Conversely, Oklahoma ranks among the lowest in health system performance, facing challenges in healthcare access and outcomes.
Obesity:
Massachusetts: The state has one of the lower obesity rates in the country, reflecting its emphasis on public health and wellness initiatives.
Oklahoma: Oklahoma has higher obesity rates, particularly among adults with lower educational attainment. For instance, adults aged 65+ with less than a high school education have an obesity rate of 36.6%. America's Health Rankings
In summary, Massachusetts generally outperforms Oklahoma across these metrics, reflecting its investments in education, healthcare, and economic development. Oklahoma faces challenges in these areas, impacting its overall quality of life and health outcomes.
"If we have a single-payer health care system, we're gonna have to wait six months to see a specialist"
The claim that a single-payer health system in the U.S. would necessarily lead to six-month waits to see specialists is often exaggerated or overly simplistic. The truth depends on several factors, including how the system is designed, funded, and implemented. Hereâs a breakdown of the key considerations:
1. Current U.S. Wait Times
Even under the current multi-payer system, wait times for specialists can be long, especially for Medicaid patients or those in rural areas. Itâs not uncommon for people to wait weeks or months for certain specialties.
2. International Comparisons
Countries with single-payer or universal healthcare systems, such as Canada, the UK, and Australia, often do have longer wait times for non-urgent specialist care compared to the U.S., but these waits vary widely.
Canada: Specialist wait times can be significant for non-urgent care, but urgent needs are prioritized and addressed quickly.
UK (NHS): Patients generally receive urgent care quickly, but elective procedures and non-urgent specialist appointments can face delays.
Nordic Countries: Systems like Swedenâs often have shorter wait times for specialists compared to Canada.
Factors contributing to longer wait times in these systems often include resource limitations or centralized triaging systems that prioritize urgent cases over elective or non-urgent care.
3. Designing a U.S. Single-Payer System
Capacity and Funding: If the U.S. implemented single-payer care, adequate funding and an increase in healthcare workforce capacity would be essential to minimize wait times.
Technology and Efficiency: Leveraging technology and efficient practices (like telehealth and streamlined referrals) could prevent bottlenecks.
Demand Management: A shift to single-payer could lead to increased demand for services (e.g., people accessing care they previously couldnât afford), which might temporarily strain resources.
4. Access vs. Wait Times
Single-payer systems ensure that care is available to everyone, regardless of income or employment status. While some might wait longer for non-urgent services, people with previously limited or no access to care (e.g., uninsured Americans) could see significant improvements in overall access.
5. Trade-Offs
The trade-off in single-payer systems is often between cost, universal access, and wait times. With appropriate planning, the U.S. could design a system to mitigate excessive delays while expanding access to care.
Bottom Line
Wait times in a single-payer system are not a foregone conclusion and depend heavily on how the system is implemented. Any healthcare reform in the U.S. would face challenges but could potentially avoid the extremes of other systems with thoughtful design and investment.

"I wish you were still invisible so i could pretend you don't exist"
i do think there is a degree to which certain kinds of Instagram activists have convinced themselves that traumatising themselves in solidarity is a useful form of activism. "I'm having nightmares and crying so much I want to be sick because of all these videos of dying children but I can't look away while people are getting hurt" I mean don't you think you'd be able to help more if you weren't having nightmares and crying all the time?? don't you think this is a one-way trip to burnout? don't you think maybe increasing the amount of trauma going around is counterproductive? I dunno bro there's something to be said for bearing witness but there comes a point where you gotta look hard at yourself and go "am I helping, or am I just making myself suffer so I don't feel guilty for not suffering while somebody else is experiencing bad shit"
I say "there is no such thing as a thought crime" a lot on my blog. Well, the other side of the coin is there is also no such thing as thought heroics, thought charity or thought activism.
You can bend over backwards trying not to be one of âthoseâ cringey queers who wears pride everywhere and goes by arson and has they/it/fluff/pixel/boo pronouns on a catgender pin they wear everywhere and suppress everything âextraâ unlikable about your identity and pass as a ânormalâ cishet and mock everyone who dyes their hair for pride and wears rainbow nail polish and guess what? Conservatives will still want you dead. There is no appeasing them. Stand by your community. Maybe youâll find that arson (they/it/fluff/pixel/boo) is going to be the best goddamn person to have in your corner when the republicans youâve given up your life to placate inevitably turn on you and try to sentence you to death because any amount of queer is too damn queer. Maybe youâll find that we are a community for a reason. Weâre all equally degenerate in the eyes in conservatives and equally worthy of joy and life in the eyes of the âweirdâ queer community you shun.
