In times like these, how deeply is our need to steady our hearts with the Ayāt of Allah.
One of the blessings of maintaining a regular portion of the Qur’ān is that it keeps the heart alive and constantly connected to Allah. It allows a person to view life’s decrees with contentment and submission.
Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:
“Whoever reflects upon the Qur’ān, seeking guidance from it, the path of truth will become clear to him.”
The Sahabah used to wear their Deen on their head like a crown, and hold their Dunya in their hands. Whenever the crown on their head would slightly move, they would drop whatever is in their hands to fix the crown on their head.
A picture that makes you think it’s from early Islamic era, but it’s Samarkand now, Uzbekistan.
