Notes: I apologise for the sudden hiatus, I got an idea for this prompt that is much longer than the usual microfic length i had planned for Goretober, but I didn't want to post other days before getting this done. And I was almost done on the 13th, but then I had a very hectic week so it took a little longer than I liked. Anyways!! This prompt is actually just a snippet of the first chapter of a three-chapter fic. And ironically, I didn't even write it myself, I just edited it a tiny bit and formatted the whole thing.

To people in the Aldera school district, the mysterious curse named after the district needs no introduction. For months, cases of students, teachers, and others associated with educational establishments falling victim to severe injuries, some lethal, were making headlines all over the news. Crimes? Accidents? No one knew, with theories starting to surface, leading to the now widely accepted belief of the Aldera Curse.Ā
It had gotten quiet around the region after a few terrifying months, and citizens and leaders alike had taken a deep breath of relief. As it appears now, they had rejoiced too soon.Ā
Just a few weeks ago, another case connected to Aldera district surfaced, when a 16-year-old with records of visiting a school in the infamous district was kidnapped by the widely-known League of Villains.Ā
As if this was not awful enough, the same boy has been hit by the curse again now. Police reports he has been attacked by a boy his age, rendering him comatose by repeatedly stabbing him. No motive for this cruel act has been made public, and the mystery surrounding the troubling events connected to Aldera district continues to terrorise locals.Ā
Anyone who has witnessed any past cases or continues to witness possible situations like these in the future is encouraged to immediately inform the local police and share all details to help put an end to this horrible string of events.
