Artist’s Statement
There are two main themes in my work that occur often. I’m drawn to people and their organic shape. It fascinates me how you can draw a person and bring out his/hers personality without drawing photo realistically.
In addition to humans I’m facinated by sunsets and sunrises. At the moment of taking a picture I’m usually drawn by the contrast of light and shadow, and the colors made by light in the clouds and horizon. I capture the feeling mostly by camera and sometimes I try to replicate my own pictures in aquarelle works.
Many artist say that making art is something that they must do in order to stay sane. Art for me is not necessary. It is a tool that I’m going to use in my future career. (I still may be debating on this with myself.) I’m aiming to get a degree on Social Services or Occupational Therapist. Though my dream job is to be a Visual Arts Therapist.
