Battleship Island Movie Premier
KUALA LUMPUR: Under the unforeseen weather in KL, fans of the three main actor from the movie Battleship, directed by Ryoo Seung Wan, took over the whole area of Pavilion Bukit Bintang.
Golden Screen Cinema (GSC) have archived something new by organizing a first ever Korean movie premier along with the staring actors.
Norfarah (28), who came to see So Ji Sub is delighted that this interaction among fans and actor is first time especially Korean Movie and with these kind of meet and greet event, it is noticeable that, there are so many supporters who came for Song Joong Ki, So Ji Sub, Hwang Jung Min.
A rough estimation of 10, 000 fans has gather at the main entrance of Pavilion, waiting for the meet and greet event which started at 7:30 pm with the arrival of the actors and Director Ryoo.
Fans who came as early as 7am to line up for the front row view of meet and greet but as the clock strike 6pm, the crowd started to increase as the working hours for office worker has ended and some came to join in event.
Xiao Ling (15) said she will be satisfied even with just a glimpse of the actor regardless of how crowded the area is and that itself is enough for her and her friend.
With the k-drama, The Descendant of The Sun took over the nationwide, Song Joong Ki, the main actor of the drama catches Malaysian fan’s attention when he was coming to Malaysia for the Movie premiere.
Along with his colleague from the Movie, fans of So Ji Sub and Hwang Jung Min has also received the same news.
So Ji Sub who acted in “I’m Sorry, I Love you”, “Master Sun”, and his most recent drama “Oh My Venus”, catches the heart of Malaysian fans regardless of him going into his forties.
While Hwang Jung Min, the senior actor has star in many movies and experience in acting, he takes the centers taking the role of Lee Gang-ok who is sent to the island after being deceived by corrupt officials.
The movie portrays the story based on the historical Japanese Colonial era during the end of World War II, where force labour were taken place with countless of Koreans who are sent to work in a coal mine on Hashima Island. – The Star
The movie is set to release nationwide on August 17.
