I don’t know if I’m correct on this or not, but it seems to me that vindiesel-12 is an account which has been blazing itself impersonating Vin Deisel — perhaps with the intent of getting people to fall for some kind of celebrity catfishing, phishing, or sockpuppet scam.
I can’t find anything on the blog to suggest that it’s just an RP account at present, so please beware of this and other Vin Diesel or otherwise suspicious unannounced official “celebrity” accounts popping up on this site. Quite possibly the best singular movie I have seen in my life, and I have seen some absolute bangers (imo). If you have Prime, go forth, immediately watch it. Hell, even if you don’t it’s worth the buy. 10,000% can recommend.
See, here’s the thing I think a lot of people could stand to learn on this site (and also many others, let’s be real): You could make the absolute best, most meaningful, most intelligent, most well-written and researched and most important, pressing post in the world, and you would still not be able to get me to touch it with a ten foot pole if at any point you even remotely insinuate I’m a bad person if I don’t interact with it. I will not reblog a guilt-tripper, no matter how “good” of a cause they believe they’re doing it for. That shit will not work on me. It will only have the exact opposite of its intended effect. I won’t like and I definitely won’t reblog.
See the thing about the whole Claude AI exposing document thing is that as great as it sounds in theory, I can see how this leads to even more harassment and witch hunts in practice.
People have said the tag is unique to Claude only and therefore there’s no way a human-made fic could have gotten wrongly flagged as AI. But how accurate and trustworthy worthy this is, really? Even IF, hypothetically, this method is proved correct 99 times out of 100, that still means “there is 1 time out of 100 times where a human-made fic is wrongly flagged as AI due to an error”. And that to me nullified the credibility of the whole doc. Like, sorry for not trusting another newly-introduced machine and for being skeptical about it.
“But how could the tag get there if the author didn’t use AI?” Besides the possibility of an error, I can already see people weaponize this method by faking screenshots of fics that are about the ships or topics that they hate to make it look like these fics have Claude tag in them, and then spreading those fake screenshots around. And the worst part is that authors cannot prove their innocence because people would just say “they got caught so now they removed the Claude tag from their fics”.
Like. I hate AI, but I hate witch hunts, accusations and harassments more.
While I 100% agree with this post and there may unfortunately not be a way to stop this bullshittery from happening now that the proverbial cat is out of the bag and this exists, I do have a proposal for all fic writers from now on: backup your fics on the Web Archive (make sure to use the “entire work” button if your fic has multiple chapters in it currently, and back up every new additional chapter you add later too) — preferably as soon as you upload them publicly or upload a new chapter, but if not then just as soon as you can.
That way, if accusations come your way, you can easily just provide a web archive link to prove the version before the accusation did not have such a thing, either.

FUCK, I though it was just another lucky meme but LISTEN. Since a week ago I was waiting a phone call to confirm me if I got a job or not in my university. So, I’d actually managed to finish cleaning up, coloring and shading this sketch on June 16th, but I’ve been a little busy lately and so never actually got around to posting it here on Tumblr.
Given that it is now Michael’s birthday (where before I had posted the sketch on Seamus’), I thought I would rectify that, and finally post it and all its many variations I made (each viewable under the cut).
Funnily enough, after many unbelievably long delays due to health and other issues, I am actually very belatedly celebrating my own birthday and getting and eating my own ice cream cake today by pure happenstance, so I guess we’re celebrating our birthdays together, this year. :) This was not at all planned; the cake makers involved simply said that they could not provide my cake until today back when I ordered it, but it is quite funny and cute to me for a variety of reasons.
Anyways, a very happy birth month to my very dearest and most precious and most beloved blorbos, and my favorite couple ever. 🥺💖

IDK man I stayed up to watch this shit after realizing it was out right as I was going to bed and like. I feel nothing. My favorite character literally died and I? Feel nothing? About it?
Like, if you know me, I weep at the drop of a hat. I saw this episode and I shed not a single tear. Not a sniffle. Not even the remote threat of a tear. Barely even sadness.
And like? Do I hate it? No? No, I don’t hate it at all. But also I don’t really love it either. I don’t hate it. I don’t love it. It just. Exists. If you asked me of my opinion of this episode I would say it is a thing that exists. And that’s it. I feel nothing about it other than it’s not what I expected. I mean. It is. But also it isn’t.
I could’ve predicted all the story beats it hit. In that respect I expected it. But not in the way that any of it happened.
IDK. I guess I expected something much more…dramatic? Given every previous episode’s tone and pacing? But like. The brain scan thing is just said right out, immediately. Out the gate. Nobody in the cast was particularly not expecting that. Caine redeemed himself but like in this very. Undramatic way. He just kinda showed up and went “forgive me?” and everyone was just like “meh. I guess.” And that was that. Jax abstracted but we didn’t even get to see it happen. She (Jax, for those of you who aren’t up to speed, Goose confirmed she/her pronouns so I am switching to those now) just kinda walked off screen and then before you knew it abstracted creature. Bubble….didn't have any role in anything he just ceased to exist or something who fucking knows. I thought something profound would be revealed about the abstracted people but it wasn’t.
There’s a lot both in this and throughout the series that’s hinted at but never addressed or actually explained. So much that could’ve been elaborated on. Idk.
Maybe I’ll feel differently in time and I just need to marinate on it but this isn’t to be clear any kind of hate post. It’s just. An. “I stayed up for this?” post. It’s an “I’m kinda disappointed, I’m ngl” post. It’s a “I feel empty but not in the way a person SHOULD feel empty after finishing something” post. It’s an “I almost wish I DID hate it instead because at least then I’d have a strong opinion” post.

Anyway, V and I have been watching (or in my case, rewatching) this show together for like over a month now, and his understanding of the beauty of this absolute piece of cinema history has brought me around to realize that I need to just stop pretending any part of this is or has ever been half-hearted or worry about putting up a thousand disclaimers about it because actually, the show is quite lovely, its flaws are lovely, it’s all the more enjoyable for them and it has a lot of heart despite what one particular person attempted to do it after a certain season rolled around.
So yeah if you’re reading this, please give V and his beautiful art some love, and then go watch Andromeda. I promise it’s worth it as long as you can look at its shoestring budget with love and levity in your heart.
