LINKS Robotics Team

LINKS (Linking Ideas and Networking Kids with Science) is a robotics team located in Atlanta, Georgia. This robotics team was started at Lakeside high school during 2000 and now has team members from 16 different schools from all over metro Atlanta. The LINKS team is not only diverse in schools but also in grades and ethnicity. They compete in BEST (Boosting Engineering Science and Technology) as team #97 and they compete in FIRST ( For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology) as team 4468.

Zombies, vampires, Frankenstein’s monster, robots, Wolfman - all of this stuff was really popular in the ’50s. Robots are the only one of those make-believe monsters that have become real. They are really in our lives in a meaningful way. That’s pretty fascinating to me.
