"Benaiah chased a lion down into a pit. Then, despite the snow and slippery ground, he caught the lion and killed it." -II Samuel 23:20 I Am: Christ Follower. Annie. 22. Imaginative. Just A Small Town Girl. Movie Buff. Music Lover. Passionate. History Major. Driven. Hopeless Romantic. Friends are my Sanity. God is my Foundation. Family is my Rock. I love anything and everything. Therefore, I blog about anything and everything. I love movies, music, and books of all kinds. I'm a small town girl and I like it that way. I always root for the underdogs. I believe fully in Christ Jesus because my imperfections and flaws are endless but He is constant and His love covers all my mistakes. I am a firm believer in love. Not just love in dating relationships and such, but love as a way to live. This world is screwed up enough without adding hate to the equation. I am very passionate about America. I love my country and respect those who are in the armed forces above all others. Currently trying to figure out my purpose in life, but until then, I'll just enjoy being whoever it is I am. Love Everyone Always♥
"Columbia Univeristy senior Emma Sulkowicz plans on carrying an extra-long, twin-size to every class, every day until the man she says raped her moves off campus. Sulkowicz is one of three women who made complaints to Columbia against the same fellow senior, who was found "not responsible" in all three cases."

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them fall to the ground outside of your Father’s care. And even the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
So, awhile ago on facebook, one of my friends had a post about the meaning of their name. They looked up what their name meant to see if it pointed to who they were but also, more importantly, WHOSE they were. So I thought today as I sat down I would do the same. Here's what I found out about me:
Annie: It is a Hebrew baby name for a girl and it means 'Prayer.' In Russian, 'Annie' means 'Hannah. Favor. Grace.' In 1 Samuel 2, Hannah lifts up a prayer to God, praising His name. She says, "My heart rejoices in the Lord. My strength rises up in the Lord! My mouth mocks my enemies because I rejoice in your deliverance." So often when life seems to be difficult, we seem to forget who we are in Christ. Several times in scripture, it says that we are called by God's name because we are His followers. 2 Timothy reminds us that the Lord "knows those who belong to Him." He has named us. He created us in His image. He KNOWS us. So my friends, today if you are feeling discouraged for whatever you may be currently facing in your life, I encourage you to do some research on your name, on who you are, and whose you are. I am "Prayer. Hannah. Favor. Grace." I am His and I am so very thankful for such a title!
