I always like to find snippets of songs that describe my ocs and for Onefleck, I believe I've found a suitable one too.
"I was never as good as I always thought I was"
While Onefleck is an unassuming elder now, her life was marked by missed opportunities, loss and regret. Her closest companion throughout her life, Thistletooth, was a bold and daring cat, while Onefleck herself has always been cautious and thoughtful. The two best friends were inseparable, spending every free moment together.
Her love life, on the other hand, began quietly with a fellow warrior, Birchfoot, a kind-hearted tom who had long admired her from afar. After spending more time together, their bond deepened, and they finally became mates. The two were overjoyed to start a family, but tragedy struck when only one of their three kits survived the birth – Thunderkit. Despite their grief, they promised to pour their love into their only daughter.
However, as soon as she was able to return to her warrior duties, Onefleck began to neglect her family, rekindling her friendship with Thistletooth and becoming distant from both Birchfoot and Thunderkit. The neglect left a deep wound in her daughter, who grew older and eventually became an angry, reputation-obsessed warrior – Thunderclaw. Birchfoot, feeling alone and heartbroken all this time, died tragically one day in a rogue attack before he and Onefleck could truly repair their relationship, leaving Onefleck and Thunderclaw devastated.
In the moons that followed, Onefleck watched as Thunderclaw grew distant and resentful, blaming her for Birchfoot’s death. Though Onefleck tried to reach out, Thunderclaw’s anger was too deep, and their relationship was never mended.
