A Georgia cat named Peach has reportedly been riding the same coastal ferry route for nearly four years, and the crew finally decided she deserved a seat of her own.

Each morning, Peach boards the ferry, hops onto her custom-built wooden stool beside the window, and quietly watches the waterways of coastal Georgia drift by while pelicans soar overhead and fishing boats head toward the Atlantic horizon.

When the ferry reaches the dock, Peach steps ashore, spends a few minutes inspecting the marina like the unofficial harbormaster of the Georgia coast, then casually boards the next trip back.

The crew eventually installed a small sign identifying her by name after visitors repeatedly assumed she belonged to someone.

Regular passengers say Peach has become such a fixture of the crossing that it feels strange when she isn't aboard.

One crew member reportedly said:

"Honestly, she knows the ferry schedule better than most tourists."

Rain, summer heat, coastal storms, salty sea breezes, or a perfect Georgia afternoon, Peach is usually waiting at the dock before half the passengers arrive.

Some locals swear she has favorite seats.

Others claim she has favorite captains.

Peach has never confirmed either rumor.
