In the impossible, supernatural darkness that lay on the city, Greed was lost. His eyes were better than a human’s, but even that wasn’t enough to find his way. So he huddled safely against a wall, out of the footpath of other citizens, until he could find his way home.
Familiar footfalls caught his attention, and he swiveled, trying to find the source. A dog, slightly on fire, but seeming unbothered by it, burst into view. Greed couldn’t quite help but laugh. What was it about dogs that he kept running into them whenever he felt lonely?
“Hey, bud. Some night, huh? You look like you had a day.” Soon enough, another voice joined the one-sided conversation. He looked up to see someone he could only describe as extravagant. “Oh, uh, yeah. This your dog?”
Hephaestus seems content to stay sitting with the man, which means that at the very least, there is no immediate danger. She barks at the sight of her trainer, and Avalon smiles. “She’s mine, yes. Likes to go off on her own, hm?”
Another bark, both pleased and a little challenging.
“However... Sitting here might not be the best idea. My friend here almost stepped on you by accident, I’d hate for him to hurt someone because he can’t see them.”
They motion towards Thanatos, looming over the three of them, who grunts in agreement. He cares little, but he knows Avalon would have a conniption.
“Perhaps it would be a better idea if you tagged along with us for a while instead?”
