This isn’t his brightest hour, he has to admit – face illuminated with the light of a glowstick as he furrows his forehead at the thing, wondering what exactly was fuelling it. He couldn’t see anything tangible inside it, so what gives? Surely it wasn’t something else that was magic?
Well, he wouldn’t be surprised, at this point, to receive that kind of explanation again – but he wasn’t going to let it rest even if that were so. Clearing his throat, he picks the nearest person he can spot as the latest victim of his curiosity, albeit not someone who seemed like the type to think much about these kinds of things. “You over there! You wouldn’t know how these things work, would you? I’m juuust about ready to take it apart, myself.”
