i was admitted to a mental hospital for the past almost week for self harm and suicide shit and i really didn’t get a chance to post a hiatus notice but !!! i’m better now and here i am so there’s that i suppose. hope you all have been well.

Hi my name is Cullen Stanton Rutherford and I have short wavy blonde that reaches my neck and dusky hazel eyes like the fires of a thousand suns and a lot of people tell me I look like Alistair Theirin (AN: if u don't know who they are get da hell out of here!).    he lets the implication hang. things are quite bad enough with demons falling out of the sky; of course they have to get involved with orlesian politics and venatori and maker knows what next—bears, probably, knowing his luck.

   the orlesians, especially, vex him. with the bloodshed and backstabbing they get up to, they make his dear homeland look civilised.

   well. up to a point.

   but enough of that. he is surprised by how pleased he is to see cullen. the sudden warmth blooming in his fingertips—like fire magic, that kind of heat—has him shamefully off his guard.

LOOK .,.,.,.,.,,  he’s getting better at seeing the reality of things. much better. y’all know he used to be pro templar and think that All Mages are Bad and should be in circles and watched constantly, but now, even though there is a lingering fear of the more powerful ones, he doesn’t find circles to be a means to an end. quite frankly, he thinks that they’re useless at this point. he recognizes that the templars and the chantry failed. he recognizes that he was wrong, he recognizes that he, and many of those around him, have done nothing but oppress mages further and keep them further away from the freedom they rightfully deserve. by recognizing this, he wants to help mages, but he also wants to help the templars, too.

he thinks, all things considered, that the rebellion is justified, but he still doesn’t completely and fully agree with everything that they’re doing. he dislikes fiona, still finds himself on guard when it comes to talking to more notorious mages, yadda yadda.

idk all in all he just. he wants to help, wants to believe in the mages, but he’s still reluctant.

☾ dalish elves : he doesn’t have much of an opinion on them, to be quite honest, most likely because he’s never really around them / hasn’t bothered to really look into the matter. he’s read some history books that has mentioned them, briefly, but he hasn’t particularly done any actual research on them or about them. if the inquisitor is dalish, he might look into it a little bit more, but, other than that, yeah.
