Character Summary:
Felipe known as Lip by close friends and family, is a funny, confident and charming young man. His parents are from Venezuela, though he grew up in Holloway. His family moved to Holloway after inheriting his late grandfatherâs home when Felipe was just a baby and he considers himself to be a Holloway local and a part of the pack. His dad is a business man and many say a charming man. He made a name for himself in the Holloway Pack rather fast but Felipe has always been a chill guy and has never really wanted to be the wolf making the decisions or to be a leader. Felipe knows that his dad wants him to follow in his footsteps one day. But from a young age, Lip knew that life was not for him. It often made him sad, that his dad had very little interest in finding out about Lip and what he wanted to do, all he cared about was his own work and status in the pack.
Lip has always been a little rough around the edges but that has always been part of his charm. As a child, he always seemed to attract attention whether that be good or bad and Felipe could always talk his way out of trouble. Which often happened throughout school and his parents would often tell him his impulsive behaviour was due to his wolf gene. He had a group of friends outside of the pack and he was known for the parties, the risk taking, having fun and seemingly getting what he wanted. Charm was the Diaz gift. At least thatâs what his dad would say. Despite appearances and often portraying himself as the class clown and appearing to be trouble on the surface, Lip actually did well in school. Felipe is naturally smart and finished high school with good enough grades to move away for university and as a teenager he felt a rush to start his own life. He enjoyed being around his human friends and living a life that wasnât just being a wolf.
Despite his dad wanting him to stay in town and work in the family business, Lip applied for history at university. This small amount of independence was good for him, for the first time in his life, Lip felt like he could fully be himself. He moved in with a friend who heâd had an on and off relationship with and he studied history and language. Being at university and around more people outside of his pack was the change heâd needed. No following rules, no trying to live up to his dadâs expectations. He experimented with clothes, hairstyles and he had never felt so free. The only downfall... was hiding alone every full moon.Â
Throughout university, Felipe continued to grow and find himself, to make new friends and everything in his life felt good. He slept with men and women, he worked in a bar and his passion for history and writing grew. When he turned 21, Lip inherited money from his grandmother and he wanted to do something for himself. Felipe graduated with honours and took the next step of studying a masters degree. It was exciting and for the first time in his life, really making his own decisions. Lip continued to study history, eventually gaining a doctorate and taking a place as a history lecturer in the city. Though he really was nervous when the first full moon came around and he chained himself inside a shed a few miles from his apartment.
Though Lipâs life changed drastically when his mom got sick earlier this year and Felipe gave up his job and moved his life back to Holloway. He is an educated young man and heâd never intended on running the bar. Though when an elderly wolf was selling the same bar heâd worked at during high school, it all seemed to fall into place. He bought Rosenâs Bar and Lip found himself enjoying working behind the bar once again. Heâd always been a natural bartender, good at making the drinks and pretty good at listening to people and he enjoyed the busy and loud atmosphere. He made a classy but easy pub vibe, with nice lighting, furniture and good food.
Felipe is a caring and affectionate young wolf, he enjoys being around people and he is always there for his friends and family, pack included. Lip usually comes across as a happy person and not many people know that the charming and bright bartender has a doctorate in history. Especially those in his pack. And he also hides his true nature from his closest human friends.
