Day 6 & 7
I'm waiting for my ride to work voucher so I can go buy my own bike. So, until that arrives, I'm making do with what London can offer rental wise! I thought for my first foray on a bike since I was 16, I'd try a boris bike around Hyde park. I felt a bit wobbly at first but I really enjoyed it, the weather was a bit grim, but it was fun to get a bit of speed up and actually see so much of Hyde park. I would recommend the bikes to anyone, perfect for getting around London on. Today, I upped the ante and headed over to Richmond park to hire a road bike and cycle to Tarmac circuit of the park. After getting set up on the bike and getting a pin head sized helmet I wobbly headed off and started my way around the park. I really enjoyed it, but I felt I had to concentrate a lot more on the road bike, the experience isn't quite so gentle as the boris bike, but I covered a lot further distance and that's what I'm out there to achieve. Think I need to get some cycling pants though... Those seats aren't too comfortable!! 1 hour cycling and I covered 21km. I'm off to bikram to stretch myself out now.
