This teddy bear, believe it or not, is the only toy in her history that she hasn’t destroyed. I had it for years, since I was a kid myself and I gave it to Koda the first night I got her, and before she had her eyes open I would find her snuggled up to it in her crate.

Picture #1 was taken in September 2012, at about ten days old. Picture #2 was in October 2012, at about a month old. Picture #3 in December 2012, at three months old. Picture #4 was in July 2013, at ten months old. Picture #5 was today, November 2013, aged fourteen months old.

As you can see, she still loves her sleep too.

It can depend on the canine if they happen to be destructive to their toys or not.  Depends on how rough or how they were breed, as well if they grew attached to the toy.  Probably why Koda didn’t destroy it, because it’s here cuddle buddy.

Koda’s a fox, not a dog, so typically very, very destructive. Like I said, this is the only toy she’s never destroyed. I’ve bought her heaps of toys, and she actually has a basket of toys in her enclosure and most of them are random stuffed heads and bodies that have been ripped apart from each other, until they’re so destroyed I just throw them out. I’m not saying she has some weird attachment to this one because it’s not like she cuddles it all the time or always has it with her, but I’ve always found it interesting that it’s the only toy she’s never damaged and I do think it’s because she’s had it since before her eyes were open.
