So, who am I?

I am Literallyqibliwof. I go by Juniper, Pineapple/Pine, or Midnight!

I prefer they/them but seriously I don't care what you call me ^^

I make art stuff. Usually Rain World or Wings of Fire, but sometimes I branch out. Really it's just whatever I feel like drawing.

-I will never draw anything inappropriate or nsfw

-I may draw gore or horror from time to time, but I'll provide a warning beforehand.

-If I forget to warn of spoilers remind me! I'm bad at that!

How big of a dead creature could they mimic and how much do they need the creature intact?

H m m m.

Actually had to sit and ponder over this one a little. I guess any creature? But realistically, most of the absolutely overpowered ones would simply be impossible for Shapeshifter to find dead.

Probably for the best.

As for intactness, uhhh

As long as there's no like Major parts missing they're probably fine.

What's special about shapeshifter?

wOAH! A chance to yap about my oc!

So basically, Shapeshifter was made by an iterator, Staring Stars, in a (miserably failed) attempt at finding the Solution. The idea was to make a creature that could ascend others via some biological method. So like if Saint was a mass-produced species.

One of the attempts resulted in a colony of microscopic organisms.

They could take over the bodies of dead creatures and use them as their own. The actual possession doesn't harm the creature, and they respawn shortly because... Cycles.

For some reason they could also change the colors of said possessed creature, we still don't know how. (It's so I don't have to change the ref for each species... shhh)

No matter the form or colors, Shapeshifter can be identified by the eyes. Their presence causes those white shapes to appear in the eyes. (And for the mole lizard, it kinda just exists vaguely whrre eyes would be. Same goes for other eyeless creatures.)

Shapeshifter hates iterators more than anything else because of how Staring stars had treated it. Iterators are also the one thing it can't possess.

It was given the instinctual need to kill and possess more hosts. Staring Stars intended for this to eventually drive them to ascend creatures, but that part was never achieved.

Leads to some strange scenarios from time to time. Anyways that was basically everything about Shapeshifter!

Oh, and sometimes I use them as my persona. In those cases it's non-canon and the lore isn't important. Anyways thanks for the question mysterious inquisitive anon!

I don't believe in goats

The character featured is, as stated, Sora. She was made 9 whole years ago and is making a return in a book I plan to write! I've been wanting to draw her at some point.

Pelagornis is the main antagonist, you don't get to see him yet

This was pretty much my first time EVER attempting a proper running animation! It's heavily simplified and probably not the best but I'm proud of it.

Eternally Standing Spires ref sheet

Spires/ESS is a 2nd Generation iterator and is part of the isolated group containing 99% Of My AU.

He was often quiet and focused, though offered helpful suggestions when asked. After his structure's collapse, though, his state rapidly deteriorated, leaving him with very little personality and a lot of fear.

His structure collapsed into a sort of maze. It's very dark and empty in there, and his puppet chamber is quite hard to find, so he's pretty much alone for the majority of his existence post-collapse.

The damage to Spires' puppet is from being located by The Shapeshifter (canon version, not persona version) and attacked.

He is the second-oldest member of the local group, and he's the first iterator of the group to collapse.

I'm fairly certain if he had a human name it'd be Sean.

Iterator headcanons/refs time!

Some of these I couldn't think of a second canon iterator, so I put an OC iterator in.

Extra details below!

I just really like my design of Five Pebes

G1: Four-word names

G2: Three-word names

G3: Two-word names

The designs were inspired by dolls! Not the fabric dolls, those uncanny ones made of plastic or porcelain. The joints on G1 were based off of bugs. I actually had a lot of bug inspiration with these guys.

G1 iterators can't move their antennas very well, and some can't move them at all. G2 iterators have all-around motion, and G3 iterators can move the antennas 180° behind them.

Three fingers just like slugcats because I like 3 being the norm as opposed to 5.

Crafted Upon Chaos, one of my OC iterators, seems to not quite fit G1 or G2. Why? Simple! Their puppet was made in-between the transition to G2 models, so appearance-wise they're mostly G1 aside from less defined joint separations, and they have the three-word name of G2 iterators.

There's other 1.5 and 2.5 iterator puppets somewhere out there, but they're not particularly common.

A simpler artwork, just wanted an excuse to draw Martyr in her natural habitat: Violence!

The "slugcat" Martyr is standing over is The Shapeshifter, basically it's a bunch of microscopic organisms that take the bodies of killed creatures. The next cycle these killed creatures, of course, respawn, leading to 2 identical beings with the same memories.

Martyr was once one of The Shapeshifter's host forms. However, she didn't like the idea of a possessed clone of herself, and hunted down Shapeshifter.

And thus leads us to this!

(Shapeshifter is technically my slugsona, but the lore and the character are separated in those cases. In this artwork it's the in-canon lore version!)
