I don’t usually do mystery boxes because I don’t know what i’m going to get, but I decided to take a chance on The Mini Brands: Books series 2. It did not disappoint. I might also be hooked; I really want to try for the mini bookshelf.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how awesome this cover is?
“But Andre had no interest in women, which lead to worried murmurs until it became clear that Andre did not have any interest in men either. Andre found people exciting, and wonderful to be friends with, and he had no interest in romance with anyone. This was not an absence from his life and it was nothing he regretted for a single breezy, smiling moment. His life was not better or worse for who he was, his life was the only version of himself he could be.”—The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives In Your Home-Joseph Fink And Jeffrey Cranor. Page 90.

AAAAAHHHHH!!!!
“There are two types of people you will meet in your life. One will run a finger down the index of who you are and jump straight to the parts of you that peak their interest. The other will take his or her time reading through every one of your chapters and maybe unfold corners of you that inspired them most. You will meet these two people; it is a given. It is the third that you’ll never see coming. That one person who not only finishes your sentences, but keeps the book.”

Well. I’m intrigued.
“My most personal moments with Francine were close-ups—the bend of a knee or a shifting hand that caught my eye…the arc of her cheek, the sun on her hair, the dance of the shadows across her back. These moments are liked picked flowers that I arrange in various bouquets and call art. Today the moments are still alive to me—tomorrow they may be nothing more than memories. So I paint as fast as I can…before the bouquet dies. Painting helps—it keeps things real. It’s what I can’t paint that slips away and haunts me. The sound of her voice. The touch of her hand. The way she smelled after a bath. Every now and then a trace of these things in someone else reminds me that I still compare everyone to Francine. I guess I always will.”

When it comes to the Frozen franchise, I’m not an Anna fan. I feel she’s needy, codependent and insecure. Especially in the second movie. While I know a lot of that stems from what happened in the first movie, she’s never been my favorite character.
However. This may have changed my mind:
Breaking Boundaries takes Anna away from Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven and puts her in her own story along with new friend Mari.
Afraid Anna doesn’t have much of a purpose in Arendelle, her and Mari set off to find out what they’re good at. They try baking, working at Oaken’s Shop and being ice harvesters. They get in some trouble, but are able to think on their feet and solve problems on their own. Both women are presented ss capable, independent and resourceful.
Olaf, Kristoff and Sven appear in minimal roles and even Elsa’s own adventure takes a backseat, giving Anna’s positive traits of warmth, humanity, friendliness and fearlessness a chance to shine.
And, if you’re looking for a ship that isn’t Elsanna, there’s always Anna/Mari:
And finally, I would rather read this than Disney’s Frozen Adventures comics. Don’t get me wrong; Frozen Adventures is cute, but it doesn’t hold s candle to Breaking Boundaries.
Look at us. Here we are in this amazing circumstance. Maybe someday, when we're long gone, people will talk about us. And when they do, our lives will be just stories to them. If they tell their children, we will become fairytales and, after awhile, people will doubt we really existed at all. But, here we are, aren't we? In this amazing circumstance.

So during last year’s Comic Con, I got a free copy of the book Judy Moody: Book Quiz Whiz:
What I didn’t realize was it was an advanced, uncorrected reader proof copy. Which is incredibly cool, because the book is very rough in terms of illustrations:
And some pages don’t have illustrations yet:
And nothing in the back of the book showing the rest of the series:
The story itself is super cute and fun. Judy Moody and her friends are studying up for their “First Ever Book Quiz Blowout” and thus are reading a myriad of children’s books to study up. Everything from classics like Charlotte’s Web to The Princess in Black (which I’ve never heard of). They call themselves The Bookworms.
But will the bookworms be able to beat their competition? You’ll have to read and find out!
For some people, reading is their ultimate form of relaxation and fun! For others, reading can seem like a bit of a chore. No matter what ca

Many of us are looking for more ways to enjoy our time at home in these stressful circumstances. Some of us have turned to books. But how can we make sure we get the most out of them?

Once again, there’s a panel in a Terry Moore comic that resonates with me.
