Tell me about a complicated man. Muse, tell me how he wandered and was lost when he had wrecked the holy town of Troy, and where he went, and who he met, the pain he suffered on the sea, and how he worked to save his life and bring his men back home. They ate the Sun God’s cattle, and the god kept them from home. Now goddess, child of Zeus, tell the old story for our modern times. Find the beginning.

I have a daughter who reminds me of A marigold in bloom.

Someone must have made a false accusation against Josef K., for he was arrested one morning without having done anything wrong.
Kafka's The Trial (or Der Process) is an absurdist philosophical novel about a man who is arrested and prosecuted by an unknown authority. It was a challenging book but I found it fascinating.

Day 11: Learn Something New
sleepy exam day
poppies, with the stems draped dead-black and rotten were tossed over her unopened letters, the scenery before me both comedic and tragic; alike those depicted in the 17th century paintings of Dutch masters.

So this is what I've bought at the Frankfurt book fair! It's been such a great event and I enjoyed it so much! I didn't buy much, but I got this beautiful edition of Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf which I'm so excited to read! It has floral illustrations on the pages and even extra material inside such as letters, postcards, news articles etc!
I also got a tiny herbarium with common plants you can find around here. The illustrations on each page are simply stunning and it tells you when you can pick which plant and what the edible parts are!
And lastly, I got this small booklet of labels for glasses and bottles and again- I just love the design so much! All those tiny berries and mushrooms are just too cute :( this was a pure cottage core investment!
I paid around 33€ in total, 22€ alone for decorative edition of mrs Dalloway and I regret not a single cent >:( all of those things are from the coppenrath verlag that is located in Germany 🍂
once again why did we let masquerade balls and handwritten letters and heart lockets and daggers strapped to thighs go out of fashion
I also want a cape
all i want is to be well-read, well-spoken, and well-loved.

8th March 2021: Happy International Women’s Day!
I’m currently reading The Heptaméron by Marguerite de Navarre and the other photos are a mixture of books by women that I adore and books by women that I plan to read in March.
