Not Murray removing his dinner gloves as he goes to follow Sandokan at Marianne's party. 😆 Dude doesn't care that he witnessed the guy go head-to-head with a tiger. He was ready to tussle. 😆

“how did you get into writing” girl nobody gets into writing. writing shows up one day at your door and gets into you
"how did you get into writing" girl i've been tormented by the visions since i was eight years old
I feel sorry for Hita. This whole time, she's trying to protect her dumbass son and make him see sense. But he's a terrible mix of lovesick and power-hungry. 💀
The character of James Brooke makes way more sense when you consider that the real James Brooke was known to be a fan of Jane Austen.
Dude totally fancied himself the Darcy to Marianne's Elizabeth. No wonder he was such an idiot when it came to her.
He's ambitious and conniving, but a total hopeless romantic.
You know, if the writers hadn't been cowards, Sandokan/Lamai would have totally been a thing.
They knew each other as children, were offspring of their respective tribes' leaders. Tragically separated, one thought lost forever, until fate reunites them as adults. The lost son of the tiger rescues Lamai from torture and certain death.
Like, this is legit romance material!
We were robbed. Don't make me write this fanfic. 😆
Hi @the-pearl-of-labuan, in your point of view, what do you wish to see with Sandokan's love for Marianne evolving? Do you see him expressing his affection to his queen not only in words but also in physical touch in season two? Take your time to answer. No rush.
I believe we will see A LOT evolve with their relationship.
Sandokan and Marianne have no issue with touch and chemistry. I mean HELLO that kiss before he leaves for the final revelation was like they had been kissing for ages.
Any turmoil and adversary they face will only bring them closer and make their bond stronger. And though it may be tested, their bond will shine. These two will pull each other out of whatever darkness they face.
@the-pearl-of-labuan, I saw a post from @sorcereress-power-23 abour when Sandokan snuck into Lord Gullionk's study and saw Angelica's portrait. He gazed at it, and then BOWED, like he was showing respect to the actual woman. Obviously, he saw the near-identical resemblance and knew that was Marianne's late mother. I feel like bowing to her painting was the quickest way, Sandokan could show respect for Angelica, both as a female elder, and as the mother of the woman that saved his life. I also think he instantly knew the blonde woman wasn't just the source of Marianne's beauty, but also her wild spirit. How Angelica was portrayed in her portrait was unique: She was dressed like a typical, aristocratic, Victorian woman; Had her hair in a customary updo; And was carrying a bouquet of flowers. But her playful half-smile and mischievous eyes showed her real personality was anything, but demure. I'm sure Sandokan saw mother and daughter's similarities.
I LOVE this moment.
I like to think Sandokan has an overall respect for women. He shows reverence. Even going as far to have a main rule be about the treatment of women on his ship.
Sandokan also grew up in a very matriarchal house. Though it was in a brothel were there was obvious abuse, because of their strength, once they had their home back, it became run by women. So, showing respect to an elder woman I feel would come naturally to him.
At the end of the day, not amount of updo was going to hide Angelicas spirit. Just like no amount of order and proper lady training was going to make Marianne hide her light.
