Does this taste funny to you?

During the first half of the 1970s the Dr. Demento show was on the radio every Sunday night. Buffet was singing songs about Pencil Thin Mustaches, and Getting Drunk; Mel Brooks released Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein; Kurt Vonnegut published Breakfast of Champions; Cheech and Chong, George Carlin, and Richard Pryor all had hit comedy albums; Monty Python was playing on public TV; SNL premiered. It was a heady and disorienting time to be a teenager, and all that literate silliness left its mark on me.

I've had a job change and I'm beginning some new projects, so after my first full year on Tumblr I'm putting new content on hiatus. I'll leave this blog up and accessible, people seem entertained by some of  posts.
