I do not ask you not to be afraid. Fear and despair are not the same. [...] fear is inevitable, I do not ask that you banish your fear. I only ask that you be ready to give it purpose.

I finally finished* this model after sitting on it for weeks due to an inability to model the nose, so I figured what better way to help efforts to promote The Sojourn than by posting it here?
Other than perhaps mentioning that the first three episodes of the first season now permanently on YouTube for everyone's favourite price - free! Go check them out!
(*in a state to show off, my models are never truly finished.)
Yo they are lowkey correct though the first volume do indeed be free you should like idk go listen to or something
Why Support the Sojourn?
I've been thinking about new mediums of art, and how and why they need to be made. Human creativity needs to be expressed, and sometimes the mainstream avenues just don't fit a creator's specific vision. We need artists and storytellers willing to push the boundaries of genre conventions and risk making something truly unique. Unfortunately, this is difficult, especially for indie creators, who must shoulder the full cost to produce something on the hopes that enough people will support an experimental, unproven medium. The Sojourn is an Audio Drama, yes; but it makes use of a full cast of excellent voice actors rather than relying on a narrator. Audio cues and carefully written exposition let the listener know what's going on without slowing the story down. The result is a fantastic piece of media, but one that's hard to put in a box for marketing purposes. Audio Dramas are expected to make podcast-levels of money, but a production like the Sojourn costs so much more to produce. It's a beautiful new medium of art, pushing the boundary of what's possible in human creative expression and giving a well-deserved chance for voice actors to really shine. And, because of the nature of marketing, it's suffering for it. If you want to support too often underappreciated voice actors, or creatives who push creative boundaries with experimental new forms of art, you should support the Sojourn.
