"Oh, I wouldn't count her out just yet, sir. She's old, but I've seen Tempests rip a cocky pirate squadron clear apart all on their lonesome." -Unknown SCN officer, SCS Farstrike
The name of the Tempest-class Khanda-pattern Corsair seems at first glance to be at odds with its design. It is notably more sluggish than other corsairs, and is not meaningfully more well-armed than its preceding model. However, look closer, and it becomes apparent that the Tempest merely embodies other aspects of a raging whirlwind.
Its comparatively lacking agility is the trade-off for a far heavier armour scheme over its fellows, which turn it into a formidable tank, able to engage at range with a pair of twin 9-inchers and act as a point around which an attacking squadron may rally, essentially becoming the eye of the storm. And once a Tempest gets going, its deficiencies in manoeuvrability matter little, as even the most lumbering corsair may still run rings around the converted merchant haulers and mercenary clippers common to pirate bands across the Western Rim.
And though it has begun to slip in effectiveness in recent years as pirate forces become ever more crafty and well-equipped, the Tempest remains a proven warship among the Coalition Navy, and sees no signs of ending production just yet.

i don't care if these characters have never interacted in canon. it's called fanfiction, not fanfact
People forget that the literal purpose of fandom is to explore a world and/or characters you love, beyond the limitations of canon. By trying to force fandom to be canon compliant, it literally destroys the point of fandom, to begin with.
And, also, can I mention that I have no clue where the line ends? Like, at what point does something go too far? Because I'm like 99% sure that people who say this stuff exclusively do it to excuse harassment: like, people supposedly care about canon compliance when you say "I ship [two characters who aren't canonically together and don't even canon potential], and believe [character] is transgender", but when somebody goes "I made a coffee shop au, for a work that doesn't even have a singular coffee shop scene, and in it, [character] mentions that their favorite food is [x], which isn't actually canon to the character" nobody gives a shit. Like, just say you hate the ship or headcanon and leave, please. Stop with these stupid excuses.
PSA for fanfic writers
"We show that a tiny snippet—just 13 words—of retrieved text on a UGC website like Reddit, Wikipedia, Quora, or Facebook can change AI agent
"just write a little every day" ok but what if i write nothing for 3 weeks and then suddenly type like i’m being hunted by god

No one owes artists anything.
But existence is lonely and sometime you throw hours and hours of effort into a void, on the slim chance it will say something back.

Pride sharks! Happy pride month :D more super cute pride flags themed sharks coming soon 👀
Happy Pride everyone, today is the tenth anniversary of the nationwide right to gay Marriage in the United States and the 22nd anniversary of nationwide legalization of Gay Sex. In 2 days is the 56th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising.
We have won nothing without fighting and we have everything to lose, there is no gay liberation without trans liberation, none of us are free till all of us are free, we have won so much and come so far but the road ahead is still long, we must continue to fight for both our liberation and the liberation of all people
The gay liberation movement is young, everything we have fought for and won happened over the course of less than a human lifetime, and there are forces at play that wish to claw back at these hard fought for rights, we must be prepared to defend what we have fought for and we must continue to fight for improvement
We have to celebrate how far things have come, because we never would have made it this far without joy and hope, and while we can and must fight, we also must remain hopeful
This year is:
11 years since nationwide gay marriage in the US
23 years since sodomy was legalized
57 years since Stonewall
that’s not what it means and you know it
Happy Pride (and Wrath) to you all 🏳️⚧️⚔️🏳️🌈
