Damian having a heart attack every time he and Jon are cooking because sometimes he just sort of... forgets Jon is invulnerable.

Damian's head is whipping around when, out of the corner of his eye, he sees Jon pulling a cast iron pot out of the oven with his bare hands. And before he can do anything more than take a sharp breath and reach out, it clicks that Jon is fine.

And it never stops either.

Years of navigating the kitchen together still isn't enough to stop that split-second moment of absolute panic when Jon drops a knife and catches it by the blade or is reaching into boiling water for the spoon that fell into the pot.

And every time Damian makes some choked noise and takes a step forward before stopping himself, Jon can't help but grin because even after years and years of working together and being together, Damian's first instinct is still to keep Jon safe.

damian is already pretty rebellious but i think as he gets older like 16-17 he should start getting rebellious in a more traditionally teenage way. like drinking and smoking and piercing his tongue in someone’s bathroom kind of rebellious. he’s already his father’s least favorite child what else does he have to lose?
