Putting aside all my grievances with the complications of this, can I just say how satisfying this is for usagi? Its one thing to hear that you become someone extraordinary from other people. And since things were destroyed and hopeless just a little beforehand, its easy to think that it was just wishful thinking and not her reality. But then seeing herself up close? Seeing that amazing, mature and powerful new self in the flesh? Thats something that I don’t think anyone would be able to describe, it escapes words. Its a once in a lifetime moment and what happens between them?

They say thank you, they BOTH say thank you. They both look to the other version of themselves as inspiration.Why do they do this? Well Serenity probably feels as if she lost her touch and was able to come back and fight in her own way thanks to who she used to be. And usagi probably feels like she wasn’t strong enough to fight and was able to be motivated by seeing who she would become.

No matter what they must have been thinking, They were able to express everything with a thank you. Those two words speak to everything they feel.
