Took me awhile but I finally finished painting my excalibur jacket! Might add a few tweaks here and there, but for the most part I'd like to say it's done. Tried my best to do excalibur from all the references I found but I would like to say I gotten pretty close to the real thing (even though there was a lot intricate detail) especially since this is my one of my first attempts at painting clothing.

Also, no one can try and convince me that Jim and Claire didn’t spar with one another with a “ I’m going to flirt with you while trying to kick your ass” manner.

I honestly love Troll Jim and everything about him and I was in shock to see him become human again. I felt a sense of turmoil over the whole situation (not necessarily in a bad way)but also nostalgia and a weight lifted off my shoulders to know that Jim isn’t gone (also the fact that I was scared shitless that Jim was going to die really numbed me).

It’s just really sad to see that the fandom is really divided about Jim being human or half troll ever since part 3 of Trollhunters. I can understand people preferring one DESGIN over the other, but it honestly feel like it isn’t just the design that bothers them it’s something more that I can’t possibly pin down from missed opportunities with Troll! Jim to being angry that creators retracted the consequences of Jim being half troll.

Whatever the fans’ feelings are towards Jim becoming human again is valid and including their opinions and emotions about the whole series in general. I’m just scared that this whole predicament ruined the series for some fans.

I’m just hoping that inspite what occurred in the series or whatever is going on in the fandom that people nonetheless still find some sense of enjoyment and hope.

But I am certain that both Troll Jim stans and Human Jim stans can agree on at least one thing:

I’ll be damn if this boi is not going to suffer a significant amount of trauma after everything he’s been through (most likely going to talk more about this in a future post).

And if there are still fans that are still distraught about Wizards remembered the famous words of Blinky:

For those of you that may not know, the first image is the early concept look for Claire Nuñez from the Art of Trollhunters. I really loved the early concept look for Claire Nuñez (doesn’t mean I love her current look any less, she’s beautiful), I thought the colors and the outfit were really interesting and out there. So I couldn’t help myself but to draw her in that early concept look. In the end, I think I ended up mixing in some features, mostly facial, from Claire’s current appearance with her early one. I wasn’t necessarily the biggest fan her early hair style so I tried to make it look like messy hair strands sticking out rather than a bunch of hair tied into small ponytails. I liked how it turned out, especially since I just started picking up color pencils more actively now for my drawings.

Only a few days left until Wizards comes out....
