Hey Shinji, do you ever think about your mom? What kind of person was she like? :D

“Hmm..”

“Dad doesn’t talk about her a lot. I did notice that he keeps this picture of her framed in his bedroom! But it’s so old and worn, that I can’t even make out her face.. Dad knows her better than me, I mean, he DID marry her!”

“Sometimes, though, he calls me by another name. Never payed attention to it at first, cause I thought that it was another nickname he came up for me! Even if i thought it didn’t fit me well at first. But now that I think about it.. he probably called me by my mother’s name a few times.”

“I don’t mind it! He looks at me with this strange look in his eyes. He usually apologizes afterwards, and gives me a lot of hugs and kisses which makes me giggle!”

“If this is what dad needs to do to cope.. then he can keep calling me that for a little longer.”

“WOAH! ARE YOU OLDER ME?”

There’s a young boy, who’s no older than 10, looking up at you with wonder in his eyes. His appearance is relatively the same as yours except, he was wearing red hoodie and had a different hairstyle, almost slicked back, in a way.

Woah, hey lil' guy! ...Huh?! you look exactly like me when I was a kid! And what is such a young kid doing on this website?

“You look.. You look.. SO COOL! How tall are you? What do you do in your free time? How many friends do we have? Did we get our dream job? I WANNA KNOW!”

Shinji shinji !!! How are you doing ? Is your family treating you well :3

What do you do in your spare time?

“HELLO!!” The red-haired boy popped into the camera’s frame with a wide grin. You could feel the excitement radiating from him through the screen!

“Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, SO much for my first ever question!” He held the camera tightly as he stuck his face into the camera fully, his cheeks squished against the screen.

“I’m awesome as always! My dad’s working as usual and my little brother sleeps! …as usual!” Shinji giggled at the last part of his sentence, proud of the joke (or at-least attempt) that he made. He blinked a few times before re-reading the question again, forgetting to answer the last part.

“Oh, and I usually draw or listen to music on the radio during my free time! I also look after my little brother! He’s only a baby..” Shinji stated before moving to the staircase. He walked upstairs and headed to the nursery room where his brother was. What met him when he stepped inside was a cradle and a sleepy infant, who just so happened to wake up a few moments prior.

The red-haired boy moved to silently coo and fawn over his sibling.

Eventually, he angled the camera just above his head, to get a good picture of his adorable little brother with a small chuckle. He then left, turning his attention back to his audience.

“My little brother’s so cute! I’m gonna be the best big brother ever! Ah- ahem” Shinji cleared his throat before giving his final goodbyes.

“A- Anyways! It was nice answering your questions! Before you go, here’s a drawing of me I did!”

“Pretty cool huh? Alrighty, BYE!!”

The camera shut off.

“Hiya! My name is Shinji Kasai! I’m currently—“

The boy paused before counting on his fingers, his memory was pretty faulty at times, especially when it came to numbers.

Both of his hands were spread out by the time he finished counting, implying that he was at least above the age of 6.

“I’m currently 10 years old,” He continued from where he left off, a bright smile on his face as he picked up the camera and letting it get close to his face.

“And I live with my father and my brother! You can’t see them yet, though.” Shinji giggled a bit as he started moving with the camera, while you couldn’t see his house fully, each wall was a different shade of color as Shinji ran through them.

Eventually, the young boy made his way up the staircase and into his bedroom. He held up the camera, leveled to his face before flipping the screen to show his room in its entirety. It was decked in motivational posters, sports-related items stuffed in cubby holes, and a few firefighter magazines here-and-there. Shinji was a very passionate kid, so it’s only natural it bled into his room decor.

“This is my room! Pretty cool, huh? I would show more buuuut.. this has already gone on for about an hour, I think? Anyways! This concludes my introduction! Bye-bye!”

And the camera shut off.
