As an older man, Robby is used to his body hurting in strange and awfully inconvenient ways

So, you can’t blame him when he pays no attention to how his body is suddenly aching and protesting anytime he moves too much. Which, as he’s said before, is inconvenient when he works in the ER

Dennis, who spent months courting Robby and finally got the older man to stop feeling guilty for wanting him back, notices the change immediately. He knows it’s not regular pain, but he’s still unsure

Even though Robby had accepted his courting and they were technically an official couple, Robby even spent a heat with him, the omega was still pretty closed off around the alpha

Robby’s just getting crankier and crankier as time goes on, but strangely enough, he becomes extremely clingy with Whitaker

Robby did his very best to make sure that the fewest people knew he and Dennis were together, but if you looked in the right places, it was apparent. He made sure not to actively snarl at omega patients who were a little too close to Whitaker in his eyes, or smother the alpha with his scent to cover up the disgusting sterile smell of the hospital, or even leave a trail of hisckeys on the shorter man's neck.

But something switched, and it was like having Whitaker turn the corner and be out of sight for half a second meant the world was ending. The two were practically attached to the hip, even more so than before

Dennis finally put his foot down and forced Robby to go to the doctor, instead of relying on the fact that he was a doctor, when Robby unfortunately threw up all the breakfast his alpha had painstakingly made for him

Robby was about to simply refuse to do the pregnancy test, stating that he was too old to be pregnant, but Dennis stopped him

He gave Robby a certain look, and Robby felt his stomach drop to his ass

That’s right, Dennis managed to get Robby pregnant on the first heat that they spent together

Robby was completely oblivious to the changes that were happening to his body, but Dennis spent his entire med student rotation observing Robby, so he knew what Robby was going through to be big

Dennis fucking loves to watch Robby and Abbot kiss each other. It's not even sexual most of the time.

He would always watch when the two older men showed each other affection, and at first, the two thought it might be some insecurity showing up. It made sense; Robby and Jack had been married for so many years, and affection was like a second language to them, in which they were very fluent.

They didn't want him to feel left out; after all, they genuinely wanted him to be a part of their relationship forever. So they figured showing less affection to each other would be good, and trading that in for more affection shown to Dennis.

Dennis loved the attention, don't get him wrong, but he was kinda pouty when they two just hugged when saying goodbye instead of the usual peck on the lips. He lifted an eyebrow when Jack didn't sneak-attack Robby with a flurry of kisses just as the other man was turning the corner. He furrowed his brow when Robby just barely stopped himself from kissing Jack's temple when he fell asleep on the couch watching his trashy TV.

He only confronted them when he accidentally saw them share a hurried kiss when he wasn't looking. The fear in his partner's eyes would be funny if he weren't so furious.

After a very stern talking-to and a very long scolding, Dennis now gets to enjoy his boyfriends freely kissing without a care in the world. He was just in awe of how in love they were and that he was now part of such a wonderful relationship

He also loves it when they make out during sex

Trinity uses the most expensive skin care products that she can afford, all in an effort not to break out. She has a precise 10-step process that she’s honed to perfection over the years.

One wrong move, one slight change, one missed step, will have her entire face covered in acne for a week at the very least.

She finds out that one of the products that works really well for her changed its formula by waking up the next morning with many painful red bumps littering her forehead. She was so enraged that she emailed them and got an apology email back (which she did not accept since they didn’t change the formula back)

Dennis could roll around in a mud pit, go to sleep with his face still dirty, and wash it off with only water and Dawn dish soap in the morning, and his skin will still be crystal fucking clear

Dennis does nothing for his skin, absolutely nothing

For some reason, unknown to him, and he honestly doesn't give two fucks, his skin barrier is top tier. People assume that he must take care of his skin, but he honestly does nothing, and it's been like that forever

Yes, he’ll do skin care with Trinity if she asks, letting her put on face masks or use moisture spray or whatever, but he genuinely doesn’t need it or care

She is livid to no end. It's not fair

Dennis loves his boyfriends, he really does, but there’s one thing that he can’t stand.

They’re trying to make him into a passenger princess

He can’t fucking stand it. He loves driving. Honestly, he’s been doing it since he was old enough to understand that a moving object could hurt if you drive it into someone

Growing up on the farm, he learned how to use the equipment early. Everyone did

It wasn’t unusual to see an eight-year-old whipping the mower around, and then one year later, they’re operating the tractor all by themselves

It was just the way things worked. It helped lighten the load on everyone else

Dennis absolutely loved being in control while driving. It put his mind at ease. He didn't need to focus that much as he drove; it's like he went into a trance sometimes, relying on muscle memory to drive around

Little does he know, the only reason why they’re doing this is that he gets road rage easily, and they’re afraid one day he's just gonna say ‘fuck it’ and crash into someone out of vengeance

They’re scared of his driving

Dennis thinks he’s an angel. This is not true

Dennis starts going gray early, which he was expecting, so it’s not a surprise to him

His father went gray in his late twenties, and his brothers started going gray in their late twenties and early thirties. All the men in his family go gray, genetics and whatnot

While he’s not surprised, Jack and Robby definitely are

The two have been married for such a long time and have gotten to witness each other going gray, getting wrinkles, and starting to make old man sounds when they get out of bed. They view it as such an intimate and loving act that they’ve been together so long that they’ve seen the process of the grays growing in and time passing by

Growing old together is such a blessing

Since they’re significantly older than Dennis, they sort of expected to never be able to live long enough to see Dennis get gray hair like them

It was disappointing to think about it, yes, but they were just thankful to be able to love him no matter what. They didn't need to see him grow old; they just needed to be there and love him with everything that they had

When he starts going gray, the two almost weep from sheer joy

Not only does he look exceptionally sexy, but now they’re matching. The two mention it any time they're given the chance, running their fingers through Dennis's hair and pressing kisses to his temple just to show their appreciation

So, Dennis and Robby are in an alpha x alpha relationship

That’s the only explanation for why, every time he imagines Dennis with another man or accidentally overhears his conversations about dates, he gets irrationally upset and angry. It feels like someone is trying to claw out his heart with a dull serrated knife

He’s devastated

He truly believed that he was a tolerant man. In his field, he's seen all kinds of people from all walks of life. You learn to accept people for who they are and help them in their times of need, because that's his duty as a doctor. Hell, plenty of his coworkers are queer, and he's fine with them!

He sniffles to Dana and Jack his newfound discovery, only to be surprised when Jack has to hold Dana back from physically attacking him. Though Jack looks like he has half a mind to smack him around as well

After calming down for a minute, barely resisting getting back into smoking, Dana sits Robby down and massages her temples before finally speaking in the most patient tone she can muster

“Okay, imagine Dennis going on a date with another man. How do you feel?” Dana asked

Robby pursed his lips, trying to stop the look of disgust he knew would cross his features. He shoves his hands in the pockets of his jacket before he curls them into fists and punches a wall or something equally stupid

"I don't... particularly like thinking about it." He muttered

Jack and Dana exchange a look that he can't decipher before Jack puts a hand on his shoulder

“Now, imagine Dennis going out on a date with you. How do you feel?” Jack asked

Robby pursed his lips again, but this time, it was to stop a small smile from creeping onto his face. That... didn't sound too bad. In fact, he wouldn't mind it at all. Sure, Dennis was a little young, but he's so smart, and kind, and funny, and a little awkward, and beautiful...

"Holy shit..."

"Finally figured it out." Dana sighed and collapsed back onto her chair. "You owe me dinner. This took years off my life. Huge plus side, everyone will now stop suffering over your oblivious ass always looking at Whitaker longingly from afar."

"Honestly, I thought it would take him a little longer." Jack crossed his arms, letting out a small chuckle. "You don't gotta buy me dinner, but call me with all the details after you ask the kid out."

Rather than a brat tamer, Jack is a brat encourager

Meek, shy, and unsure, Dennis stood no chance when Jack started to gently nudge him into becoming more forceful with his wants and desires

Instead of saying please after every request, then stuttering as he backs down, not wanting to seem greedy, Jack wants him to request more of him

Not request. Demand.

He makes sure to spoil Dennis to the best of his ability. He wants Dennis to pout, whine, and throw a tantrum when things don’t go his way. Seeing Dennis get brattier and more spoiled just fills him with glee

Dennis being mean to Robby and degrading him, calling him a pervert and purring about how disgusting he is for getting so hard over a younger man

Robby, squirming and so hard he feels dizzy, whining that Dennis is the one making him do things, and it’s all his fault. Dennis won't stop touching him, but it's not enough, and he feels like he's going to explode

It’s true, Dennis was purposefully doing everything he could to subtly turn Robby on without a hint of guilt. Getting into a relationship with Robby has made him a little sadistic

Robby just being so pathetic and begging at all times of the day to eat Dennis out

At first, Dennis would always blush and stutter, so shy and inexperienced. He's never been with anyone who didn't avoid his anatomy down there

Nowadays, he can easily ignore Robby when he’s pawing at his pants, trying to convince him to give him just a little taste, which always ends with his legs shaking hours later

They both enjoy it when Robby eats him out, but Dennis likes seeing the devastation on Robby’s face when he says no and pushes the older man away under the guise of being busy a lot more, much to Robby’s dismay

Dennis can technically drive, and he does technically have his driver's license, but he’s only ever had experience on old dirt roads, which are a lot freer in his opinion

He’s swerving around cars that are going 1 mph too slow for him, he’s yelling at people, and lays on the horn like it’s his natural born duty

He’s driven up on sidewalks once or twice just to get around cars. He’s pedal to the metal once that light turns yellow, he fucking hates stopping

The windows are always down, he never turns on the heater, and very rarely turns on the air conditioner

He sneers at the pavement princess cars and openly posts about how much he hates them since moving to the city

It’s the only time Dennis will show that he has anger issues

Trinity swears and punches him on the arm after she gets out of the passenger's side. She makes Dennis promise to always talk her out of agreeing to let him drive

Trinity is better at driving, if not a little hesitant and slow at times. Dennis is okay with her driving

But he always backseat drives with her and tries to get her to do a lot of illegal shit, just cause he’s an impatient fuck

She’s always yelling at him to shut up and turning her music all the way up

Dennis has no control over the music when Trinity is in the car, whether he’s driving or she is. That’s just the rule

Dennis tries to have the “what are we” conversation with Michael, no strings attached, Robinavitch, and it goes as well as anyone in the Pitt expects it to

When he gets told very coldly, “nothing,” Dennis gives a serene smile and nods.

That's fine. If the older man wants three months of sleeping together to mean nothing, then it will mean nothing

An hour and a half later, Jack sends him a picture of Dennis naked in his bed with his middle finger to the camera, clearly happily fucked out.

Robby immediately tries to blow up Jack's phone, sending message after message, practically screaming at his best friend for touching the intern that he had called dips in

Jack had already thrown his phone to the floor and was on round four with Dennis

Now, Dennis didn't mean to eavesdrop and overhear the private conversation Robby was reluctantly having (or at least he seems reluctant) with Dr Abbot. Really, it’s their fault for having such a scandalous conversation out in public where anyone could walk by. He's innocent, seriously.

“Fine. I’m an ass guy. Will this get you to leave me alone?”

Dennis could tell from his hiding place around the corner that Robby was probably as bright as a tomato. And his voice sounded incredibly frustrated and embarrassed, which was super hot in Dennis's unbiased opinion.

Then he realized what the words coming out of Robby's mouth meant. He completely zeroed in on the fact that Robby was apparently an ass guy.

He had an ass… he could…

When Trinity asked him why he had started focusing his workouts on squats, lunges, crab walks, donkey kicks, and any other exercises he could find online, he lied to spare himself the embarrassment.

He stammered out something about wanting to be able to stand for longer at work, or have a better time helping Amy out on the farm, but Trinity didn’t even pity him enough to pretend she didn’t know the actual reason.

One very strenuous, hard week later, Dennis could proudly say that his intensive workouts had most definitely worked perfectly. Even Trinity reluctantly gave him a compliment after complaining that he was stealing all her short shorts.

Dennis was nothing if not an opportunist. When the opportunity arose to bend down in front of Robby and stick his fat ass in the older man's face, Dennis took it without bothering to give it a second thought.

"Oh, don't worry, Dr Robby, I'll get that for you," Dennis murmured softly, a small smile on his lips as he bent over, wiggling his ass just slightly as he took his time grabbing the pen Robby dropped on the ground.

He could feel Robby's eyes roaming his body before firmly staring at his ass. Dennis flushed, just imagining the hungry and focused look on his boss's face.

Maybe this was the moment that their 'will they, won't they' situation he had with Robby would finally be resolved, and they could get into the 'they will' stage of their relationship.

He slowly stands up and hands Robby his pen, letting his fingers brush against Robby's and staring him straight in the eyes. Robby's eyes were dark and stared straight into his soul.

"Dr Whitaker, would you mind if we had a private conversation in my office?" Robby rumbled, his voice low as he raised an eyebrow. "I've noticed a few... changes to your body, and I'm quite concerned. I think a thorough examination is in order."

Dennis flushed further, and he barely stopped himself from nodding eagerly and embarrassing himself. "Of course, Robby... a very close examination is needed. I've been working out a little hard lately, especially..." he wiggled his ass again.

Robby's eyes immediately snapped down at the movement before looking back up at Dennis's face. "My office. Now."

Dennis gave no struggle as Robby quickly moved him out of the open air of the Pitt into his private office for some private time. At least now he knew Robby was definitely an ass guy, and really appreciated the work he put into his physique.

Jack and Robby actually fight each other over who gets to be first in line, which prompts Dennis to keep track of who went last so it’s interchangeable

Dennis gets the kisses after tying their ties, and Rabbot kiss each other while they fix their hair after Dennis gets a little too excited from seeing them in suits
