The Halloween Spirit

The season is JUST BEGINNING

Pumpkin is a 10 year old who died on Halloween, it has a sister called Candy cane who is basically the same effect but Christmas. Not their actual names but thats what they called eachother and that's what I'm gonna call them.

Some kind of magic happened where they were so autistic about the holidays they liked that they because they died during the season they became some kind of magic spirit that appears during the holiday appropriate months

Pumpkin does not know Candy is dead because they died after it and when I bring Candy out for Christmas they will learn this and be devastated, I plan to keep doing this every year I remember

This is the basic idea, a lot of stuff is subject to change I mostly made this account to bully Tim but then I felt bad so I moved the angst to Pumpkin instead and I'm just here to be a Halloween episode instigator and it's incredibly fun

If people like my characters enough they can magic them back through the power of having a good time

Feel free to ask more specific questions and I will answer them if I know the answer and come up with an answer on the spot if I dont

[ Theres a giant pumpkin blocking the street, it's big enough to fit like 2 people comfortably inside. And nobody knows where it came from, it just showed up. Someone should probably do something about that. ]

"hmmm a reasonable people wouldn't go explore it...but I ain't reasonable! " Harley goes over to the giant pumpkin to poke it

[ The side that is poked begins to fall forward onto her as though the pumpkin was just cut in half.

If she doesn't move she's gonna get squished by half of a giant pumpkin]

"oh sh-" Harley quickly moved out of the way not quite ready to be squished by pumpkin this early in the month "....if anyone asks I didn't do that-"

[ Moving to the side she avoided the weight of the large section of the incoming vegetable and as she looked up she saw an interesting sight inside of it ]

[ Inside was, the expected internals of the plant, with the exception of a vaguely humanoid figure in the center with what looked to be a hollow, ragged, tattered, patchwork dress with skeletal arms wrapping around what would be the legs of the figure if they had any and for the head, a simple carved pumpkin with a smiley face

Additionally in the meat of the pumpkin was a crude carving of the words "HAPPY HALLOWEEN".

Well, now that you know what's inside, what do you do now? ]

Harley was caught a bit off guard. She has seen some pretty weird things before in Gotham but this is probably by far in the top 20 of weirdest. She slowly got closer to the figure inside and gently poked them

[ As she approaches, she can see a slight shift as though it was breathing.

Meanwhile the further arm from her gently slips out of sight and creeps up behind her to tap her on the shoulder. ]

Harley slightly jumped and quickly turned around in confusion. She hadn't heard anyone so what had tapped her shoulder?

[The street behind her was Empty, and when she turns back around the figure previously in the pumpkin was hovering up at eye level like a cheap horror game jumpscare]

"BOO!" A young but distorted voice echoes out of the pumpkin, as it raises its three fingered hands (the other had returned to them while she had whipped around to look behind her) up at her waving them enthusiastically.

Harley slightly jumped back in surprise before she smiled "well gotta give you props that kinda got me. First jump scare of spooky month and I get caught off guard"

"Got youuu!" It sings happily

[Pinpricks of light appear in each eye like an iris as the diminutive figure appraises the figure Infront of it, it swirls around her before landing back down levitating only a couple centimetres off the ground]

"Wait a second..." The head spins around before showing now a thoughtful face carved out of it. As they tilt their head slightly.

It spins again with an even happier face than before.

"I know you!!"

"well I have to admit you did get me! And I believe I know you as well. I believe we might have met before last year right, puddin?"

"Yeah! I was a Shadow that time! I'm still kinda a shadow this time but I get fun pumpkin head and aren't possessing anyone this time!

... I hope. I think I might be kinda possessing the pumpkin!"

"it's good to see that you are back! I missed seeing ya around! And it's good that you aren't possessing someone this time but well I don't think the pumpkin minds if you possess it right?"

"I missed you too!! I missed talking to people. I mean there was this one person who I saw after Halloween..." the lights in the eyes dim slightly as it goes deep into thought for a second before flaring back to life

"But anyway I don't think the Pumpkin minds"

The head spins once again and shows a cool carving of a thumbs up before spinning again into their face

"Yeah the pumpkin doesn't have strong opinions and thinks being moving and magic is cool!"
