The young girl shakes her head. "Something's happened," she tells you hesitantly.

Phaedra's brow furrowed a little, concern entering her expression. Tucking a loose strand of red hair behind her ear, she offered a reassuring smile, "It's alright. Tell me what happened."

"Phaedra?" A young Ravenclaw taps you on the arm.

The Ravenclaw girl looked up from where she'd been hunched over her potions homework, a friendly smile sliding onto her features. Setting her quill down as to give the younger student her full attention, she tilted her head a little, "Yes? Is everything alright?"

Hi guys!

So as you’ve undoubtedly noticed I’ve kinda been AWOL the past two months or so. Between a pretty rough mental health patch, and then the hell that has been my undergraduate dissertation, I’ve been knocked for a loop. But…

I’M BACK!!!

My dissertation is handed in, and now it’s just studying for exams, so I’m gonna be back on here more often and getting replies done. I am though heading to a convention this weekend so activity may be a little spotty till after that’s over, but nonetheless I’ll be here! And thanks to everyone who’s been checking up on me, it’s much appreciated <3

“I think...I think I’d like to help people in some way...I’m not really sure how yet though. I’m not sure if I’m really cut out to be a healer, or if I have the patience to teach fully...but maybe helping younger children, or something like that,” she mused softly, fiddling with the sleeve of her robe, glancing out into the forest. It seemed like all anyone had been talking about lately were either the exams or future prospects and it had left her feeling a tad lost.

“Not as much time as I’d like,” she joked faintly, looking back towards him with a faint smile.

“I want to go now,” she muttered against his shirt. It seemed like forever before she’d get to go to Hogwarts and both her brothers had already finished and it wasn’t fair. Shouldn’t it be her turn already? She wanted to go and learn magic, just like they had, and get sorted into a house like they had.

“After how long I’ve spent studying them, I certainly hope not,” she laughed slightly at the thought, glancing around to see if she could spot any sign of Leta. Only a few more months and then she would be done with Hogwarts for good...it was strange to think about really. A few more months and then it would be time to confront the adult world and everything that was going on in it.

“I think I’d like that,” Phaedra grinned brightly at the thought. While she’d heard stories from Newt about the places he’d travelled to, as well as hungrily devoured the tales in his letters, she wanted to see them for herself, to explore far off countries and see wonderful new things.

So I haven’t been on much lately.

First of all, I want to say that I am 100% not leaving these blogs and I have no intention of doing so. I also want to say thank you to those of you who have reached out to check up on me- it really means a lot.

To cut a long story short, over the past few weeks I’ve been struggling with mental health issues and really just haven’t had the energy or motivation to be online or produce anywhere near the quality of responses I’d like, so I didn’t, because I didn’t want to give any of you that, or for it to feel like a chore. So instead I tried to spend more time with friends, played some games, and this weekend I even went to a convention which was lots of fun.

I’m feeling a bit better now. So, all being well, I’m hoping to get some replies done tonight across my blogs, and hopefully I should be a little more active from here on in. Although I am in deadline season, so there will probably be a bit of spottiness there.
