And there it was. The Look. Stormy, half-lidded eyes with his pupils blown, alive with a combination of irritation and desire. Tense shoulders and arms, lower lip red from how he’d chewed it. She’d tried for two weeks to elicit this response, and now he was here, on the cusp of giving in to who he really was and who she wanted, needed him to be. But she couldn’t let him give in now.
