𖦹 Starting off with Shiho’s age range! She’s a 2-3 regressor, so pretty consistent! But also prettyyy tiny! Baby bassist for sure, not toddler bassist, or kiddo. She’s a baby. Don’t listen to her though! She’ll try to tell you that she’s a big kid and she reallyyy isn’t. This sometimes affects her dreams! Making them more immature and making them affect her even worse. Just a scared little baby :(
ִ ࣪𖤐 I wanna take the time to highlight some of my nightmare ideas, cause they’re my favorite thing ever to write. Leo/Need setting up a trip to phoenix wonderland but when Shiho shows up she gets told she wasn’t invited. Shiho making it big as a musician but seeing the other three succeeding on TV, but they all look happy while she feels exhausted. Watching her friends destroy their instruments as they tell her they want nothing to do with her. A big label saying they want her friends but they won’t take her. Being in middle school, coming home to snuggle her plushies but even they disappeared
✿ OK ONTO HER FRIENDS COMFORTING HER. We’ll start with Saki! Saki is the type to wake Shiho up as soon as she sees the baby in distress. Whether it’s whining or tossing and turning, Saki’s on it! She’ll instantly start cooing at how adorable Shiho is, saying how she’s soo happy she gets to keep her safe! Reassuring her without ever directly mentioning the nightmares. No need to talk about it. She’ll talk Shiho into making a big fort! Claiming that obviously blanket forts block nightmares, not because Shiho has any of course, it’s to help Saki! Yup! Totally! Shiho isn’t convinced, but she appreciates Saki’s efforts even if she sees right through them
꩜ Next uppppp Ichika! I think Ichika faces the nightmare really head on, if Shiho feels up to talking she’s asking what happened, if not she’ll try to guess based on past nightmares and comfort accordingly. She’ll remind Shiho how much they all love her and how happy they are to be with her. She’s also the first one to call the rest of Leo/Need! She doesn’t want Shiho feeling alone, what’s a better solution than hearing your friends voices? Plus she can ask them to come over or meet in Sekai if needed!
𖦹 And Honami! Honami just instantly goes to comfort, almost in a mindless sense? Like she doesn’t even think about it, it’s not specific to the situation. She’ll pick Shiho up and bounce the bassist in her arms, carry her to the kitchen and make her a warm bottle or a snack, put on a favorite movie or song of hers, make her a warm bath, put her in comfy clothes. Just gentle comfort! Never talking about it. Just acknowledging that Shiho’s upset and comforting her unconditionally
ִ ࣪𖤐 Uhhhh nicknames! Ichika calls her “Honey” “Sweetheart” and “Kiddo”, Shiho calls her “Ichi”. Honami calls her “Sweetheart” “Little One” and “Sunshine”, Shiho calls her “Hona”. Saki calls her “Baby” “Cutie” and “Shi-Chan”, Shiho calls her “Dumb”. But like affectionately! And usually with a very red face. Baby bassist the tsundere ever… She gets flustered from the other two as well! Saki’s just usually so over the top with things that it gets the most reaction out of her
✿ Sometimes all of Leo/Need get to be there to comfort Shiho! I think so many people is a little overwhelming initially, but she very quickly realizes it’s her friends and can relax. Cuddle piles are the best thing that can be done! Maybe a movie in the background. No one is allowed up or she will cry. Doesn’t matter what they’re doing. If someone absolutely needs to get up, going to the bathroom for example, she’ll follow them as much as she can, pouting the whole time that they made her get up when she was comfy
꩜ Also also! When Shiho has a nightmare on her own she rarely reaches out to her friends, she’s convinced she doesn’t deserve them or that they hate her. But her friends encourage her to reach out! And when she DOES reach out to them? She gets rewards! Immediately! A new plushie usually, but sometimes she’ll want toys or coloring books or something! Usually just plushies though. Especially after a nightmare, she wants more friends to surround herself with
