"God y/n! just have some fun... in an abandoned Arena." F/n remarked as they both walked down into the seating area. Y/n takes out her phone to take pictures as she walks down to the Ring. As Y/n walks down to the ring, she doesn't realize that F/N walks off. Y/n hops into the ring and looks around in wonder before realizing that F/N wasn't there, so she sits down on the canvas and lies back on it, allowing the silence to close her eyes.

Y/N feels a tapping on her forehead and opens her eyes to see Roddy "Rowdy" Piper crouching down to check on her. "What the hell!?" Y/n exclaims, nearly falling out of the ring in panic. "Where am I?!" Y/N demanded, before bumping into Hulk Hogan. "It's January 23rd, 1984- WHAT?!" Y/n looks around in panic, and nearly falls out of the ring before deciding to rush off into the back area, trying to find a restroom to hide out in. But unfortunately before Y/n could find the restroom room, she bumps into Vince McMahon. “Sorry!” She apologizes before rushing into the near by girls restroom

Am I in the past?!’ Y/n panics as she tries to feel her pockets for her phone. ‘Aha!’ Y/n takes out her phone before going into a bathroom stall. Y/n turns on the phone, only to see a list of people on her phone. Y/n swipes the list, taking note of the people before hearing a voice in her head. “Your duty is to make sure these people don’t leave the WWF/ not die,” the mysterious voice provided, “I’ve also pause your age to help make this easier for you… and if you get pregnant in the progress…think of it as a plus. now go save these people” the voice cuts out. He will confess to you that he had “prophetic” dreams about you and how he saw you before ever meeting you. This is based on the fact that Lincoln famously had prophetic dreams about his own assassination

When he gets assassinted, he will tell the men around him to make sure you live lavishly after his death. In this Au, this causes Mary Todd Lincoln to go mad with Jealousy

this may bring out the crazies but idc at this point. it’s pretty bad in every fandom—ones i’ve been apart of or otherwise—however the issue is so very rampant in the pitt x reader fics right now (not surprised, just disappointed lol) that it makes it nearly impossible to finish reading what could be a great piece of writing.

there are some of you—not all, but enough—that white code the shit out of your “readers.” (it’s like… it’s baaad, you guys.) the writing is good, great even, until those little words pop up; turned pink, red skin/cheeks/faces, blushed, rosy, white knuckles, and even them being an (implied) biological relative of a white character. (another i’ve seen a lot is the reader being written as not understanding a foreign language!)

it’s old. and tired. and has the ability to be unlearned, yet the choice is being made to ignore and exclude a chunk of readers looking for the same escape you provide for people who do turn pink/red/whatever. it’s disheartening to see, especially when it’s being done by people i admire and whose work i want to support/reblog, yet can’t—because i would be a fucking hypocrite if i screamed about blushing in one post and then celebrated a fic that only fits a certain kind of person.

i’ve talked about this before, and have even reached out to some with gentle reminders and they’ve responded with genuine sincerity and respect, which is so refreshing. with that being said, don’t think of this as an attack. please. just take it as a chance to recognize that you might be doing this and fix it… which is quite simple with the resources available to us now

the reader doesn’t have to be some blank blob of a slate. they can have a personality and quirks and whatever else you feel like fleshing them out with—but let yourself be a better writer and at least try to consider that if you’re going to write in the reader-insert universe, that you’re going to have all kinds of readers… including ones that don’t fucking blush!

Maybe one day (if you play sports) you take a hard hit from the opposing game and suddenly Doris is holding her husband and sons back from marching onto the field to kick some preteen’s ass
