it was peaceful; the living room dimly lit despite the floor lamps illuminating the organized space. inhale, exhale. walls decorated with accidental scuffs and silly photos of friends, family, and your precious boyfriend. you wrapped the knitted blanket around yourself a tad tighter as the air-conditioning quietly hummed, exhaling a chilled breeze to circulate around the shared area. the room was your sanctuary.
thump.
your head shook, mouth slipping out a small chuckle at the light sound. how long does he plan to keep this up? the day had long since crept into the late night, clock hands nearing the numbers eleven and six, soon to be eleven-thirty.
“he knows he’s overdue on sleep yet he’d rather play games first? unbelievable,” you faintly whispered, eyes finally drifting away from the small words on your book to steady on the figure in the opposing chair. you smiled. there sat a very sleepy fuma, recently dyed bangs falling gently over his eyes, head lightly nodding down every few minutes before bobbing back up as if nothing happened. his mouth hung the slightest bit open, soft sighs slipping from his pouty, blush tinted lips as his body relaxed against the cozy material of your furniture. every last bit of his being radiated this drowsy air that he just refused to accept.
thump.
you stifled a short giggle as you watched his expression turn to a frown for a split second before relaxing back into place. something about the way he tried to fight against the temptation of sleep, restraining himself from giving in was laughable, a surprisingly wholesome sight.
an indescribable warmth filled your heart. being in a relationship with fuma, you weren’t one to argue with how and who he spent his spare time with. he’s a grown adult with a full-time career doing what he loves with who he loves. there was no reason to be mad about something like that, especially when, despite his hectic schedules, he still found time to spare and share it with you.
so whether he spent his free time with you catching up on each other’s day, his members sharing silly stories and laughs, his family bonding over a home cooked meal or by himself opening another set of pokémon cards as he waited for his game to load, you respected all of it like he did with yours… however, there was only so much you could tolerate.
thump.
“okay, that’s it. let’s get you to bed,” you chuckled, pushing yourself up with the blanket still wrapped tightly around your body. his eyes fluttered open at the sound of his phone falling for the nth time today. he reached down to pick the device off the floor, screen still glowing bright with the settings function popped up mid-game. his thumb must’ve clicked it by accident.
“i’m fine,” he rebutted, hand moving to cover up his mouth, face contorting to suppress the yawn that wanted so badly to make itself known. “swear ‘m not tired yet.” an obvious lie.
fingers slipped into his hair running through the soft strands that framed his tired face. tears brimmed the lower lashline, the apples of his cheeks dusted with pale hue of pink, yet more signs of his fatigue taking over. staring directly at him with an unwavering stare, you deadpanned, “fuma, honey, you dropped your phone because you’re falling asleep.”
“was an accident,” he mumbled quietly, voice barely audible even in the muted room.
“really? which time?”
“...well–”
“i personally lost count after the third drop. you?” your strict tone cutting through the silence made him pause from talking back. he knew you were right. the side of his mouth ticked upwards, a breathy sigh leaving his tongue as your fingers traced down the side of his face, curling under his chin with a firm hold. “come on.”
the natural flush of his cheeks climbed up to the tips of his ears, embarrassed from the way you caught him in a clear lie and shy at how easily you took charge of his carefree self. fuck, they’re so hot like this. seeing you all determined and reliable wasn’t a new sight, but with him usually taking the lead out of his natural instinct, it sure as hell wasn’t a sight he saw often.
he wanted to argue, get you to back down, but… if me refusing to sleep causes them to act more dominating over me, you can sign me right up. truly an unfair experience. the power you had over him with every little action you made was unbelievable.
“fuma,” your hand reached out towards him, face automatically smiling as he immediately obeyed, placing his hand in yours. the heat of his palms blended into your own, the pad of his thumb grazing over the texture of your skin as if he were trying to commit it to memory. so uniquely you.
with a groan he pushed himself up: 10% because you tugged him upwards and 90% because he planted his feet on the ground to make it easier for you. practically a team effort. without warning, fuma flopped against your figure, heavy arms wrapping itself around your neck as he leaned the majority of his weight on you. naturally, he closed his eyes once again in tiredness. what a cute yet inconvenient way of thanking you.
“ugh, fuu. this is what i get for caring about your health,” you whined and pushed back, face scrunching up to get some of his weight off you. “you’re welcome by the way.”
he shook his head, burying his head by the crook of your neck. god, even with your small comments, every day he fell more and more for you. “mhmm. thank you, pretty.” voice a low hum with a grin proudly deepening as soon as he saw his words take effect. he waited but you didn't answer, so he leaned up to your cheek and planted a gentle peck. flustered stutters slipped as he pulled back satisfied at his small act of love. so cute.
before he could do anything else heart flustering, you wrapped your own arms around him, slowly moving your joint bodies towards the bedroom with the occasional grumbles. “for someone who just said they weren’t all that tired, where’s that awake energy gone?” at this point, you were practically dragging his feet along the floor.
you turned and pulled his arms from your neck, watching fuma plop onto the bed with a sleepy smile. “it went into loving you,” he bluntly stated, legs spreading just slightly, encasing you in his muscular arms before resting his head on your stomach in comfort.
“ugh, shut it.” you cringed, shutting your eyes in disgust making a sound of disapproval as you felt his laughter rumble over your stomach. it annoyed you how he knew even the cheesiest words sounded like honeyed compliments in your ears. “you definitely need to sleep after that.”
before you could even take a step back, his grip around you tightened, shoulders stiffening to the touch. “fuma?”
“don’t wan’ you to go.”
“my love, i have to clean up the living room. i’ll join you later.” gently, you placed a hand atop of his head, stroking the smooth strands of dyed hair while you allowed him to pull you closer. “you can sleep with eevee for now while i finish the dishes, right?”
your eyes drifted over to the side, a particularly shaped object catching your attention. a small eevee plush resting among the collection of other pokémon related pillows, plushies, and merchandise that he adorned your room in. the sight of the item drew a smile from your face, heart softening at the darling memory of him fanboying at you finally sharing an interest in his adorably, partially nerdy passions.
he pressed a delicate kiss on your stomach, the cotton fabric of your (his) shirt doing nothing to stop the warmth of his plush lips from seeping through. one by above you bellybutton, another nearing the side of your waist, then another just under your ribcage. with each brush of his mouth across your body, you couldn’t help it; melting in his hold until you slowly sank yourself to straddle his lap, arms enveloping you as you both acknowledged that he won this battle.
he stared at you for a beat longer, shaking his head in response. “it isn’t the same, is it pretty?” his hands rested on your hips massaging the fat that covered the pelvic bone, whispering sweet nothings about how good you looked. that’s when you felt it, that pounding pulse that stretched over your chest, the lull atmosphere of the late night making you give in to his wishes.
“i want you tonight. please stay with me.”
slowly, he placed a hand at the back of your neck, pulling you down, closer into his hold. and before you could get a word in, his lips pressed against yours. kissing you with the utmost care, perfectly slotting between your own as you sighed into it. “please,” he begged as your hand tangled in his hair, tugging his head up so you could deepen the kiss.
holds tight, almost like each one was afraid of losing the other. you rested a hand over his chest, the erratic thumping of his heart slowing down to match the rhythm of your own breathing. his teeth nibbled on the swollen skin of your lips, slipping his tongue. every sigh, kiss, whimper that he ripped from your throat, his eyes further squeezed shut at the melody ringing in his ears, tempted to suck on the tip of your tongue to draw out another sweet sound. a shaky and weak groan left his lips, pulling back to rest his forehead against your own as you both caught your breath.
the corners of his mouth twitched into a smirk seeing a string of saliva split, falling over your slick lips. his thumb carefully swiped over the clear fluid, popping the spit-covered thumb into his own mouth, tongue grazing the pad with a satisfied sigh. “you can do that. can’t you, pretty?” he asked, tired voice sounding deep and raspy while he played with the hem of your shirt.
you absentmindedly nodded, head in a daze from his kiss. his lips moved to litter pecks across any area exposed, sucking flushed marks at the skin by your neck. with every moment that passed, all the tension in your body melted away, dissolving into his warmth. “come now.”
his arms soon picked you up, body feeling weightless in his hold, soon settling the both of you under the thick, cozy sheets. you shimmied yourself into his warm embrace, grinning in delight as the sound of his light chuckle reached your ears. “thank you for caring, pretty.” he mumbled, exhaustion and heavy eyelids finally taking over.
the sight of him, thoughts coming to a rest with his mind drawing into a peaceful slumber, made your heart flutter. eyelashes casting long shadows over the top of his cheeks, lips kissed swollen parting with each exhale, slim fingers and calloused palm clinging to yours as, even in a deep slumber, he refused to let you go.
words stuck in your throat, too nervous to speak at the chance of disturbing him from a much needed rest. awake or not, he was beyond beautiful in your eyes.
wherein; you decide to call your boyfriend by his full name for no reason other than to watch him panic a little.

a/n: hello lovelies!!! i am back from my little writing break and its nicho! im so happy to be writing for him again i missed him sm (⸝⸝> ω <⸝⸝) i wrote this very quickly after thinking of it in the shower so please forgive how short it is and any little errors! i hope you guys like it! consider it my late bday gift to him hehe
“wang nicholas yixiang.”
instantly, the laughter that bounced off of the dorm walls dissolved into silence, stretched taut like a bowstring.
it wasn’t out of the ordinary for you to let yourself into your boyfriend’s dorm unannounced despite the other eight that lived there.
you were often greeted with hugs from maki or euijoo. maybe a bite stolen from whatever taki happened to be cooking.
this time, however, you had to keep yourself from laughing at the almost fearful expressions that swept across the room. even jo, who'd been halfway through reaching into a bag of chips, froze with his hand suspended in the air. harua's eyes darted between you and nicholas like he was silently trying to piece together what had happened before you arrived.
nicholas blinked up at you from the couch, eyes widening as every head slowly turned between the two of you.
you never called him by his full name.
not unless he was in trouble.
“baby…” nicholas said carefully as he stood and crossed the room to where you waited in the entryway. “hey… what’s up?”
his voice was laced with concern, so subtle you doubt anyone else noticed it. you could almost see the million thoughts ping-ponging around his head, and it took you everything to not break character. he searched your face for any clue, his smile already fading into something more cautious the closer he got.
instead, you remained standing firm with your arms crossed.
“we’ll… leave you two alone,” euijoo mumbled, already ushering the others away. a chorus of muffled ‘ooh’s and poorly hidden snickers followed.
“nicho’s cooked.”
“what did you do?”
“i didn’t do anything!” nicholas called after them, sounding genuinely offended, albeit a little unsure.
“that's what they all say,” someone muttered from the hallway, earning another round of laughter before the sound of retreating footsteps echoed farther into the dorm.
the living room emptied until it was just the two of you.
“wang yixiang,” you repeated.
he stopped only a step away. carefully, he reached up to tuck a loose strand of hair behind your ear, a worried wrinkle forming between his brows. “…yes?”
finally, the cheeky smile you’d been holding back broke across your face as you tiptoed up to press a quick kiss to his lips. “have i ever told you how much i love you?”
“wha—“ nicholas blinked, his eyes knitting together in confusion. “baby what?”
“i said i love you.”
“i—” you could practically hear the cogs turning in his head, a small laughter bubbling out of him. “i love you too?”
nicholas turned to the empty hall where everyone had disappeared, then back to you as if waiting for someone to explain the joke to him.
“that’s all.”
“thats all?” his expression morphed into one of disbelief, tongue poking at the inside of his cheek. “you little—“
you squealed as nicho darted forward, wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you back against him before mercilessly tickling your sides.
“you scared me!” he exclaimed between laughs. “i was trying to figure out what i'd forgotten! i thought i missed an anniversary or something!”
your laughter echoed through the dorm as you squirmed in his hold, trying—and failing—to pry his hands away. every attempt only seemed to encourage him more, his laughter growing louder as you helplessly twisted out of reach.
“nicho! i can’t breathe!” your words dissolved into helpless laughter, “im sorry!”
“oh, it’s nicho again now?”
all you could do was bury your face in his shoulder, giggling in defeat. he kissed you again before finally relenting, leaving you breathless.
you looked up just in time to catch the fond smile spreading across his face. the kind that always seemed reserved just for you. he let out one last breathy laugh before gently smoothing out your messed up hair.
“don’t do that again,” he teased, poking your side one last time and earning another squeak from you.
“okay,” your cheeks ached from smiling. “i promise.”
“yeah?” he cupped your cheek before leaning in again, your lips meeting. slower this time, softer.
“mhm,” you murmured against his lips, the last of your giggles fading into the kiss. “promise.”
somewhere down the hallway, maki called out, “is it safe to come out now?”
“no,” nicholas answered without missing a beat.
“give us five more minutes,” you added
you heard an ‘ew’ echo from the hall.
nicholas only laughed before pulling you back down beside him on the couch. one look at the grin on his face told you that, to his members' dismay, he still hadn't gotten enough of you.

𑣲. tiny love letter :: it was then on a lovely saturday evening, on your lil picnic date, when you realized you fell deeply in love with the man in front of you, your boyfriend nicholas.
warnings :: pure fluff. — bf! 王奕翔 x gn!reader … sappy and sweet tooth rotting fluff, a bit of crying, intense emotions, sharing ice cream, they’re pure admiring and lovesick love birds, gentle kisses and soft nuzzles… >.<
sticky note :: happy birthday weno!! (*ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ꕤ*.゚
sometimes you just wanna stare at his beauty, longing and full of emotions you can’t even define with literal words in the english language from how intense they were. sometimes you wish he could understand, indulge and acknowledge how heavy it all feels by just looking at the way your eyes gloss with an unspoken truth. maybe he understands.
nicholas does understand. he always does.
the gentle wind is billowing between you, speaking for you and filling in the silence. you don’t know where it came from, or how it conjured since all you’re doing is having a lovely picnic date he planned spontaneously. the ice cream is nice, cooling your already heated skin but suddenly you don’t have the strength to keep raising your small spoon to your mouth anymore.
it’s so heavy, weighing your limbs down, you have no other choice than to lower your gaze, letting the wind cover your eyes with strands of your hair over your face. the vanilla is still present on your tongue, but it feels too heavy to even formulate words right now.
and quietly, he sees it all, letting you sort out or soak in the experience with silence as he continues eating his mint chocolate treat. his eyes never once leave you because the sight of this happening was once in a lifetime, powerful since you’re allowing this to happen in front of him. he’ll never take it for granted, he’ll hold onto the moment.
it takes however long for you to finally yourself again, to sort through it all and realize what it was that you felt. a dense mixture of appreciation, intense longing, desire for connection, devotion, a yearning that seemed much farther than normal— it escapes you with a deep exhale, shaky because it was either that or just letting it fall down your cheeks in hot tears. you don’t want to alarm him, make him think that this date was a bad idea where you suddenly just melt in sparkly tears. you just feel deeply and … this time, you think he can relate. you know he can relate.
again, you don’t say anything afterwards, keeping your emotions tight within your chest, thrumming in your sternum and up your throat but you push it down by taking another scoop of ice cream passed your lips. you’re not alone in this, you fell hard. quietly, to not shake your softness, sometime amidst your silence he shuffled closer enough to close the wide space between you. sitting across from you, he settles down by your side, still facing you and still picking at his ice cream, but now raising his spoon to your lips.
share with me. a slight plea, a small opening.
unshed tears cling onto your lashes when they flutter open, meeting his soft gaze. heavy, you feel heavy, but your lips wrap around his spoon as your eyes start blurring and bridge of your nose starts stinging. it’s his way of letting you know he accepts your intensity, wants to see it, wants you to show him, that he’ll take all of it because he loves all of you. the small plastic slips out your mouth and he swiftly plants a small peck onto your burning cheek as you lower your gaze again, smiling softly when he slightly pulls away just to see what’s the next emotion to paint onto your pretty features. you burn bright, heated with his love and you feel it. his presence makes you ache, his touch, his sincerity. his thigh brushing against yours, his scent wafting into your twitching nose, his lips planted on your cheek still in a fantom kiss.
“you burned me, nicholas.” your words crumble him. you ruined me, your mind supplies but you wouldn’t call it ruined. he left his mark on your beating heart but in the most purest form. in a way that leaves you feeling fulfilled, cherished, devotedly full. his narrowed eyes stay softened, eyebrows twitching as you finally share your intensity— feeling it immediately affect him even more.
it was your turn this time, lifting up your spoon to his mouth, watching as the same emotions swirl in his eyes and full expression. his lips part, taking in the sweetness and the weight of your whispered words, leaving the spoon empty between your fingertips.
allow me to see, seeking for his intensity since you know he feels the same.
he feels it in the air, the charge of all the emotions you both feel meddling between your physical bodies, loaded onto his sharp features until they soften with the same ache. his expression visibly crumbles, and he finds it hard to swallow down the sweet with the ball of sentiment lumped in his jumping throat. can’t bring himself to look away, eyebrows furrowing upwards just the slightest. it hurts, but in a way he wants. in a way he has desired. he’s so thankful, so appreciative, you feel the same. you feel deep, but you’re not alone in this.
he nods his head once. wants you to know that he understands, he acknowledges, he agrees, he relates — in every sense possible.
a small chuckle suddenly escapes through his nostrils and his smile gingerly twitches at the curling corners of his pinkish lips. you’re both so lovesick, heavy with fever, in the way your gazes were heated. his lopsided smile makes yours grow, of course he’d understand. his lips press onto your cheek once more after your softening stare.
and when he pulls away again, all you see in his face was pure admiration. it sticks on even after he puts his attention back and smiling down at the half full cup of ice cream, scrapping out the rest on his spoon to keep feeding you. his cheeks rosy, tip of his nose pink, narrowed eyes glistening with sparkles and stars as they gaze over your beauty.
no amount of cool winds could chill your buzzing skin. no amount of ice cream can cool the burn you feel deep within for each other. he knows this. you know this.
it was just a soft picnic date in the neighborhood park, a cool chill settling in along the soft night, sunset painting the sky an array of dusk orange and pinks…
but being on any date with nicholas always turns into one of the most sacred experiences you can have. and it’ll always be with him.
a/n: still on my summer vacations and the weather is.... not very good. but that means i have time to write!! so here's a little yudai drabble as i work on somethign slightly bigger <3
the weather at the beach was nothing short of perfect. the sun was high in the sky, it’s rays prickling your body, the breeze providing a perfect contrast to the scorching orb and making the weather perfectly balanced for staying outside. you just couldn’t waste this perfect opportunity on staying inside — opting instead to go out, hair flowing with the wind as you laid down on your stomach, a blanket underneath you and a book in hand.
your sunglasses rested atop your head, holding your hair from falling on your face as you smiled to yourself at a scene in your current read, letting the chatter and chaos of other people around you fade into the background as you focused on enjoying your own, quiet moment.
that was until you felt something big and round hit the top of your head with a loud ‘thump!’, sunglasses falling off from contact.
and boy, did it hurt.
you could feel the incoming headache the moment the ball bounced off of your head — and with it the incoming rage that was going to take over you the moment you laid eyes on the culprit, the one who hit the ball and managed to do it so poorly that it flew right at you. you closed your book with one hand, reaching for your sunglasses which were now covered in sand with the other. a sigh left your lips before you propped yourself up on your elbows to get up into a sitting position; head turning towards the direction from which the ball hit you, brows already furrowed in an annoyed expression, lips ready to spout insults left, right and center.
but all possible words died in your throat the moment your eyes laid upon him.
it was as if his physique was built by the gods themselves — abs clearly visible under the tight fitting white tank top he wore, the muscles of his limbs flexing with each movement, hair slightly wet and messy as he ran his hand through it. he was already jogging up towards you from where he previously stood; your eyes shifted behind him for a second to see a group of guys by the volleyball net set up on the beach, all now looking towards you and their friend currently going in your direction.
‘oh my god, i’m so sorry.’ you could already hear him even before he arrived at your side, the man repeating his apology over and over until he reached you. he crouched right next to your blanket, eyes filled with worry. ‘is your head okay? i’m sorry, i didn’t expect it to fly this far.’
‘well, maybe you should manage your strength next time.’ you mumbled, avoiding his eyes. he was even more attractive from up close — and you hoped that he’d blame the pink flush on your face to the scorching sun above. ‘you almost broke my favorite sunglasses.’
the man stayed silent for a moment, eyes looking from your face to the sunglasses in your hand, then right back at you. a soft sigh left his lips.
‘could i interest you in a drink? my treat.’ he said suddenly and your brows immediately furrowed in confusion. ‘think of it as an apology for your head and the almost-broken sunglasses.’
you thought about it to yourself for a second — a gorgeous, almost criminally attractive man offering you a drink was an offer you couldn’t pass on. especially when he was willing to pay and so apologetic for what had happened. and hot, of course. almost as hot as the sun above you.
‘i have a better idea.’ you said, a sudden surge of confidence coming over you as you sat up straight, eyes met his. ‘give me your number and let’s call it a date, hm? then i’ll forgive you for my current headache and disrupting my reading time. how does that sound?’
the expression on the man’s face quickly changed; previously unsure, it has now changed into a sly smile. by the looks of it, it was obvious he clearly liked your suggestion. his hand reached towards the zipped up pocket in his shorts, unzipping it and pulling out his phone.
‘oh, i’d love to.’ he stated, voice soft and low as he handed you his phone. ‘my name’s yudai, by the way.’
you introduced yourself, too: a smile gracing your features as you typed in your number into his phone, making sure you didn’t accidentally switch the order of any digits.
yudai looked at the phone screen with satisfaction written all over his face, clicking the call button to make sure your phone started buzzing. his smile grew ever so slightly when he noticed that it did — and he already knew that his friends would tease him relentlessly for it when he’d come back to them.
