This is probably old news, but since we talked about it on twitter the other day I thought to make a post in case anyone doesn't know about this theory.
To me he has always look around 30-35, but I'm not that sure anymore.
Checking the wiki you can see there's a cameo of Civ X on chapter 18:
I don't know if this is official or can be edited by anyone, but if you go to that chapter, you can see someone in a black suit watching the news about Little Johnny calming Big Johnny after his fight with Vortex:
This could actually be anyone, but then why give him so much protagonism in this frame? Specially someone wearing his signature black suit and that pose.
If that's actually X, the thing with this frame is that it shows him in his work suit in year 22 AC. If he started working right after finishing college, he should be around 22-23 years old in this frame, maybe more. And that would make him the same age of Ghostblade (40) or even older than him.
So I thought about different possibilities:
1. That's him and X is in his 40s but looks younger. We now know thanks to the artbook that Smile was 41 when he fought Bowa and he looked young too.
2. That's not him and X is under 40. In this case, could be just someone completely irrelevant or a cameo of another character that will be revealed in S2.
3. This is an actually quite young X and he's wearing a suit because he graduated early/ started working before graduating / had a part time job to pay for his studies.
4. Time travel related stuff. This is my least favorite since I don't think X's powers involve actual time travel, but the possibility is there. Another take would be that we are seeing how current X observes past events even if he isn't actually travelling back in time.
Another interesting post on twitter pointed out that since his birthday is 06/06 he could had been born either on 6 BC (45 y/o) or 6 AC (35 y/o) so his birth date would be 06/06/06 which is a lucky number in China.
