Peak - To the Top of Brain Power
I feel like I am constantly forgetting things, which led me to talking to my friends about how bad my memory can be. They suggested I download a mind game app, to work on strengthening my memory. I never got around to downloading it until I did this project, and now I wonder how I ever lived without using it. Here is my review of the app after using it for the past week.
I dont know how I have not already downloaded an app like this! I quite enjoy brain teasers and anything that can really challenge myself. I think most apps try to withhold some portion of the activity to ensure that customers are inclined to purchase their “pro version” but it’s good to know that there is still lots to do without having to pay for the games. Thanks for this review, I will have to check it out and start testing myself.

What a great little app! This review definitely makes me want to give it a try. Personally I believe in positive thoughts and have always loved journaling so I will have to give this a shot. I like that you included the note that this apps color scheme and graphics should be altered to reach a larger and more inclusive audience.
Let’s Brag About Lutenblag!
What/Where is Lutenblag?
Got the travel bug? I’ve got the place for you!
Lutenblag, the capital of Molvania, is a busy, bustling and loud city located in the Great Central Valley. It is a major metropolis that exhibits a combined ancient and modern atmosphere. This city proudly contains amazing eateries and a popular brew known to the locals as “Blag.”
Things to Do in Lutenblag:
o Something to check out while in Lutenblag is the Hotel Zlad- a boutique property decorated in an Eastern European boho-chic style with a touch of hipster that will provide you with jaw-dropping views of nearby scenery and landscapes.
o If you are the kind of traveler looking for an amazingly lush oasis, Club Zlad is highly recommended. You can find this trendy lounge presenting a great vibe settled in the center of this energetic metropolis.
o Hungry and feeling spontaneous? Grab a Sprufkil's Gourmet Hot Dog, and spend the afternoon strolling through some of the nearby hills. Then, take time to relax at the outpost for a breathtaking panorama of sea and sand. Continue your wander along the cobblestone road and rolling fields to an amazing little coffee shop to recoup before your walk back to the hotel!
Overall:
Lutenblag can be a home away from home if you are tired of the overcrowded tourist cities and are looking for a more quaint and intimate destination on your travels! So, what are you waiting for? Jump on the next plane out and enjoy the wonders Lutenblag has to offer!
The Lonely Traveller
My name is Ashley Perry, and I am a 27 year old, 4th year BA psychology student at Queen’s University. But more importantly, I am a 6 month pregnant first time mom (FTM) and this is the topic of my chosen subject.
Being a mother is something that I always wanted but had believed it was a far off dream and not something that I had to think about for a long time. The arrival of our little monkey was a complete surprise but a very welcomed one.
Since finding out I was expecting on Labor Day Weekend my boyfriend and I have been completely overwhelmed to say the least. Neither of us had really spent much time thinking about everything that needed to be accomplished and one of the biggest sources of support has come from online forum groups. These groups contain other moms who have shared their own experiences and offered words wisdom through an open and honest channel of communication.
There was just so much to learn!
I had to start monitoring everything I ate to ensure that it was considered safe for the development of my little one. I had to make sure that I was eating enough to receive the extra recommended calories (which can you believe is only 300-450 a day?), but also had to make sure that I wasn’t eating TOO much which could lead to possible issues throughout my pregnancy.
The Government of Canadas website offers some great basic guidelines when initially finding out that you are pregnant, one of the better pages I’ve found is “Healthy Eating and Pregnancy”.
But, this type of information isn’t very informative.. it provides the necessary details to give a good overview, but personally, I want the down and dirty conversations of what to expect.
Social media and other web based platforms have a huge role in offering support to other FTMs like myself.
With all these questions surrounding what I should and shouldn’t do – how is one person supposed to prioritize everything they need to learn?
Thankfully, having access to these forums have provided a safe space to ask questions and receive honest first hand advice from others who have recently gone through the same worries and concerns.
Personally, my favourite forum is “What to Expect”, this site allows you to follow particular topics and receive weekly e-mails of other posters hot topics which may answer questions you didn’t even know you had!
