[ススム] Wiping the sweat from his forehead, the young driller let out a big sigh before promptly sitting down. He hadn’t had a schedule this hectic since he first started, and a hard days work was always gonna end up with exhaustion. 

“Gee, The boss sure wants as much coal as possible by Tuesday, I can’t displease him though. I really don’t wanna get yelled at again.”

His eyes started to become drowsy and he let out a small yawn. He was tired. it was inevitable, really. “...Well, maybe... a little break couldn’t hurt, right?”

“I’ll... come back to it later... J-Just a few minutes is all.”

(( Hey~! So, I know I haven’t been on any of my blogs as of recently due to college and whatnot but I’ve been meaning to get back into the RP community for a while. Though I think from now on there are gonna be a few more changes. Susumu is probably the first muse I wanna bring back properly along with Pac-Man, I’m still very much a nervous wreck when asking people if they want to RP or are interested but I’m hoping I can back off and not be breathing on people’s shoulders when it comes to monitoring mutual status. I apologize to those who I may have unintentionally annoyed at all in the past, if they can even still hear me. But yeah. I hope to get a brand new spanky promo for this blog soon, look forward to it! ))

“Alright, let’s get to work then!” Feeling the enthusiasm herself, she’d lead them both to the cavern entrance, grabbing a spare lantern that sat on the ground. “Follow me.”

Corrin illuminated the way, taking a few careful steps as the cave winded down a slope. Eventually, the light shining the lantern would reveal a massive boulder that prevented them from making any further steps inside.

“Here it is, just as we left it. Unfortunately, nothing seemed to have changed… not that I’m surprised, of course.”

“So you want me to tunnel in here, right?” 

He gave a little smirk. “Hah, This’ll be a piece of cake~! Stand back, alright?” With a little whir, he hoisted up his drill pointed the tip in front of him dashing straight toward into it, chipping pieces away of it until it broke into nothing but dust and pebbles as the jackhammer whirled down to a stop.

“Aw yeah~! That’s how it’s done!” He bounced and cheered to himself. “Trust me: No rock is gonna stop THIS fella’, Haha~.”

“Oh! I’m sorry, I guess I just zoned out for a second,” A gentle laugh laced through her voice as she spoke, adjusting her focus onto the pink driller, “I’m just so used to everyone being taller than me.”

One thing that she did notice about him (besides his height,) was that, well, he didn’t look particularly familiar. In fact, how did he even find her residence? Her homes location wasn’t necessarily public knowledge, so she could only assume that he got referred to the lab by some other professionals affiliated with her father. Regardless, she wasn’t really all that concerned; he looked practically harmless..although sometimes looks could be deceiving. “So uh, what’re ya’ here for? Do you need something repaired?” That was typically the reason most outsiders had when visiting the lab, so she wouldn’t be very surprised if that was this little guys reason as well.

Susumu snapped out of his thoughts and was brought back to reality. “Y-Yeah, um... I need help with this drill here.” He said clasping his hands on it. “It stopped working for some reason, and the company that made it isn’t avaliable at the moment.”

“I’m a driller, after all. Boss told me I had to get this fixed, Can’t ask for a loaner sadly.”  

“B-By the way, They call me: ‘Mr. Driller’~!” he giggled, somewhat playfully. “What about you, Miss...?”

His drill never just stopped working like that. His superiors from the mines said that he’d have to find a mechanic elsewhere though. He wasn’t exactly happy about it either. Drill Labs, The company he whom made his jackhammer was unavailable.. so he had to make his way to an unfamiliar stop, like it or not. 

He stepped up to the door and tapped his foot somewhat impatiently. Digging was his passion, So having to wait honestly bothered him. “Come on...” he quietly whimpered to himself.

By the time the door creeked open, his attention was brought back. “Kon'nichiwa~...” he greeted, per usual. “May I speak to the owner of this facility pl-...” His voice slowly died down as he looked up at the rather dreamy looking blonde standing a few feet above him, A small blush forming on his face.

“..O-Oh my... Erm.. H-Hey~!” he spoke up trying to get his attention, curse his short height. “...Uhh, Down here!” This was his chance to make an impression, right? That golden hair looked downright pretty.

“Really? Oh, thank you so much, truly!” She clasped her hands together, glad to hear someone who held that much enthusiasm.

“Well, it has something to do with the caverns in which we obtain most of our minerals. Recently a giant boulder blocked us from proceeding any further, so we’re left to salvage anything else in the meantime.”

“A boulder you say?” He chuckled and gave a little optimistic salute. “Not a problem! There isn’t any rock I can’t bust through! Heheh!” He grabbed his drill and smiled. “Happy to be of service. Just leave it to me~!”

“You know, we’re in need of someone who’s good at that sort of trade. Most of our workers are finding it more tedious to traverse the quarry and now no one wants to do the job.” Including herself, naturally. “May I perhaps request of your services, Mr. Driller?”

“Hey, sure! I’m somebody who enjoys their own job for crying out loud, haha~!” He rests his hand on his drill and slightly leans, egar to be instructed. “What’cha need~? I could do it right now if you wanted me to!”

“You know, perhaps it’s best that I don’t delve so much into it.” Clearly the boy’s weapon was more technologically advanced to the point that she was befuddled by his own words.

“I’m sure you must be an ace at cave exploration then, yeah?”

The lil’ driller simply nodded in response. “M-hm~!”

“That’s why they call me Mr. Driller, after all, y’know? Haha! I just love mining and digging for stuff. Hidden little treasures and whatnot, You just don’t know what you’ll find!”

"What type of blade do you have there? I have something like that... Although it's not exactly a chainsaw, and used for bustin' boulders and plowing dirt heheh."

“It’s called the Yato blade, though I believe it’s the only one of its kind. And definitely not for breaking boulders or plowing dirt.” At least she’s never tried, that is.

“What about yours then? I can’t say I’ve seen something like it before myself… “

“This? It’s just a drill. Well, not just a drill but an electro-magnetic one. No need for some sort of battery or fuel.”

“Where I come from, technology advanced quite a bit safe to say. Had it since my first days as a lil’ rockbuster.”
