hello, everyone. 

i'm sure you've noticed this has been a long time coming, and i wanted to wait until at least the end of the event, but i realized that could be viewed as leading you guys on, which is not at all my intention. i've decided to close littlepond, at least for the time being. this group and this rp mean the world to me, however i've been in kind of a psychological rut the past couple weeks. i had hoped to shake it off, but ignoring it has only made it worse. i'm fine, don't worry, just exhausted and lacking in muse. the bottom line is, i can't be the admin you guys deserve right now. 

i especially wanted to thank each and every person who applied, and every member that i have. you guys have honestly made this all worth it, and i can't apologize enough for taking it from you too early. especially from our new members. of course, you guys are still welcome to use all your character blogs and rp as normal in the littlepond universe, the main and my account just won't be active. this has been such a perfect first rp experience, i've learned so much, and i wanted to thank you all for helping it happen.

so, you big fish must be pretty stressed this memorial day weekend, huh? if you’re not working overtime, you’re seeing family, which you could argue is even worse. what better way to unwind than a sleepover in the branson’s old barn? ollie’s offered it up, as well as a bonfire, for anyone who wants to join him. it’s like dio, except... no high schoolers, no booze (at least none provided, it’s byob) and no arson! we hope. 

ooc: howdy y’all ! that’s right, we have a second event on the dash, this one a more intimate gathering at branson family farm. shoutout to jay for helping me put this together! ic this takes place on saturday, may 23, and ooc this event will run from saturday, july 11 to friday, july 17, just to give everyone plenty of time to get all their threads in order.

in addition, the big fish will be sleeping in the barn, two to a stall. pls lmk if you have a preference; me choosing what would be the Spiciest or just randomizing it? either reply to this post or dm me!

get excited, everyone ! it’s time for elmridge’s first major tourist event of the season! that`s right, it’s the busker’s street festival, with performers (compensated by the town of elmridge) come from far and wide to entertain the masses in downtown elmridge! everything from musicians, to magicians, dancers and jugglers, ventriloquism and sketching, fire eaters and fortune tellers and sword swallowers. tourists come from all across the state to see the performers, as well as to take advantage of the street sales that so many downtown vendors are putting on to take advantage of the crowds.

ooc: so this is less an event and more an update on what’s happening in the town! as far as the big fish goes, this means those working in downtown elmridge (i.e. in thomas hall, the roast, soft serve by the lake, and jimmy’s pizza) will be working double-time during this festival to larger crowds. additionally for those working at branson family farm, they will be setting up a little booth at the festival to sell their baked goods and produce, so they get to work extra hours, too. enjoy the stress !!

of course the big fish are also free to wander around during their breaks or off hours, take in some of the spectacle, maybe even do a little shopping, who knows.

the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, but this summer has been... less than ideal, for most people. but in elmridge, the summer is only beginning. it’s started with a bang, at the regular dio party in the countryside, and now our big fish are getting into the full swing of things. we’ve got plenty of open skeletons, and would be happy to see you join us!
