Interview with the Demon (2023)
Okay, so Jane Austen lived during Regency era in Britain (late 18th - mid 19th centuries)
Gavotte was a popular dance in France and Britain between 18th and 19th century.
IDK what the hell is THE BALL. But we will see some gavotte and waltzes for sure.

Ep 5 is The Ball… I stg if Neil Gaiman has written a P&P dance scene like these for Aziraphale and Crowley imma scream at the top of my lungs
I IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT ABOUT THIS!
And now I’m going nuts! ⚡️
But, usually in The Balls men and men are not allowed to dance together by the rules.
Only If they go with Nina and Maggie, it might work. Glancing over at each other PASSIONATELY is not prohibited ✨😅😭
This might be the moment that ignites their feelings and opens their eyes 👀✨ to see the truth!
Guys, Buddy Holly who sings “EVERYDAY” was one of first gay supporters!
His song “Oh BOY” was about gay love 💕 When he was invited to perform in famous show, regardless of his manager’s disapproval, he sang it out loud that night.
Ed Sullivan (famous showproducer) tried to sabotage his performance and unplugged his guitar amplifier. But he plugged it back and continued to sing, manifesting his support.
WHAT A LEGEND! And Neil Gaiman put his song as a central theme! Ok Neil, we see you…
There must be Crowley babysitting Jim scene in Season 2.
Somebody has to look after the child when Aziraphale’s away in Edinburgh. 🥹😅😝😆
She’s holding “EVERYDAY” Buddy Holly vinyl disc. She’s the one who sent it to Edinburgh? Or did she get it from them? 😳
Aziraphale was reading about it in the newspaper. “In a local pub in Edinburgh, there is one song kept playing no matter what they put on a gramophone. EVERYDAY.”
I still can’t seem to understand how this song and Gabriel’s amnesia are connected?
Did he became amnesiac by listening to it? Is it a some sort of cursed song?
Maneskin - I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE
Is soooo Crowley 🤣🐍✨✨
David Tennant & Michael Sheen
Crowley and Aziraphale (Blitz Era)
I love how casually Crowley leans on a chair. There’s a SWAGGER in it.
And of course, his fancy ring 💍 captured my attention too ✨✨
Ok, guys, this is useful info you should know before watching Good Omens Season 2
Neil Gaiman mentioned that one of minisodes will be about Victorian Era Bodysnachers of Edinburgh.
So I dig up to learn more about this historical event.
So, there were 2 friends- William Burke and William Hare. They were known to be notorious RESURRECTIONIST MEN. They would dig up the graves of recently passed people, steal their dead bodies and sell to scientists and doctors to do experiments. Later on, they started killing random people to earn extra more cash. It is said, they made a fortune out of their business. Until one day William Hare betrayed his friend and called a police on him.
Apparently, Victorian Crowley and Aziraphale will be dealing with these two men. I wonder if Aziraphale would show us his exceptional detective skill at work.
~~~~~Portraits of Hare and Burke ~~~~~~
I’m realizing this embarrassingly late, but the parallels between these scenes:
It’s the first, failed proposal.
One of them full of hope, ready to give up everything for the one they love, without caring about anything or anyone else in the world but the two of them. The other astonished, almost annoyed, unable to follow their true desires because they’re bound by higher moral obligations.
The one who proposed walks away defeated, pretending it all doesn’t affect them as much as it truly does. The other is left there, standing, a mix of emotions welling up inside them as they realize what just happened.
For god’s sake, even the locations are similar.
Oh and, let’s not forget that Aziraphale doesn’t always understand Crowley’s motives behind his actions. Angel sometimes thinks that Crowley does things solely because of his impulsive nature.
I mean, c’mon the parallels with Pride and Prejudice are there. Mr Darcy had similar problems. He loved Elizabeth but failed to express it in a appropriate convincing manner. Elizabeth used to think that Darcy was proud, selfish man, whose only concern was his OWN wishes only.
Noo that last part just made me think of something.
What if, and this is purely hypothetical, this dynamic that you mentioned in the end follows them a bit into the season? Crowley failing to demonstrate Aziraphale that he loves him and Aziraphale thinking that Crowley does what he does out of selfishness? (God I really hope I’m wrong here)
Think for example of the latest clip. Aziraphale is convinced that they have to help Gabriel but Crowley is completely opposed to the idea. Crowley first tries to get to Aziraphale by reminding him that Gabriel tried to destroy him, quite literally. But Aziraphale doesn’t seem very moved by this, so Crowley takes a different route. He reminds Aziraphale that Gabriel is also bothering him. Crowley needs him as far away as possible because he’s endangering the precious, peaceful, fragile existence he’s craved out for himself.
It almost seems like his motives are selfish. They are not, of course. At least not mainly. It’s a “at least if you don’t do it for yourself, do it for me”. But it could sound… not really good.
In P&P Darcy did the very questionable things he did out of love for Charles, thinking he was saving his friend from something really bad when in reality it was nothing like that. He was actually acting against his wishes, but out of (what he thought) was his best interest.
So, let’s pretend for a minute that in this story Charles and Elizabeth are the same person. So the one he loves and the one he’s trying to save are one and the same: we are left with what the Ineffable Idiots have going on. Crowley trying to save Aziraphale from something dangerous, not really paying attention to Az wishes but what he believes is going to be best for him. And Aziraphale thinking Crowley is acting out of selfishness and not considering his feelings towards the situation in the way he should.
So they are trapped between “I’m doing what’s best for you because I love you” and “I know what’s best for myself and you’re just being selfish”.
I will actually be so happy to be wrong with this one.
You beautifully put it here. I have a little bit to add.
Aziraphale is usually able to see best in people, right? So I am inclined to think that he senses Crowley’ s “good side” and truly believes that Crowley is gentle and kind person in his own way.
But, another question is “DOES AZIRAPHALE KNOW ABOUT CROWLEY’s FEAR OF ABANDONMENT by him?”
I mean, Crowley never told Aziraphale about how he felt, when he arrived at his burning bookshop and thought he lost Aziraphale for good. Damn, Aziraphale even haven’t heard Crowley saying to him directly: “You’re my best friend” or “You mean a world to me”
Something tells me Aziraphale belittles how he’s important in Crowley’s life. Angel probably thinks that Crowley can live on without him easily, in case of his disappearance.
There’s no way they can go a level up to a romantic part, if even basic things haven’t been communicated yet 🤦♀️😔
Damn it, sometimes I wish I could possess Crowley’s body and end this line of misunderstandings, that has been going on for decades.
Guys, what if Shax or other demon disguises itself as Crowley, comes to the bookshop and delivers Gabriel to Beelzebub?
Demons can shape shift after all.
🥹 that would be funny NO
It will be funny if Crowley is the one who hands over Gabriel to HELL
🐍 nobody will see this coming for sure
I will DIE IF THIS HAPPENS
These are actually Aziraphale and Crowley, pretending to be swans.
Ok, guys, I’m gonna rant about Good Omens from religious point of view.
We know from religious books that, Angels are like robotic machines, made to carry out holy orders. They are made of light.
Angels actually do not possess any feelings, unable to love/hate, or even show mercy. That’s why there are many angels in HELL, guarding it, preventing anyone’s escape. Religious book says, “no matter how ppl beg them and cry for help, they would not even flinch”
Demons and jins, on the other hand, can fall in love, and have emotions, do mischiefs. There were cases of demons falling in love with humans (both with men and women)
So it’s quite accurate that Good Omens angels are quite straightforward like that. None of them were concerned about humanity and its safety, when Armageddon was to unfold. That’s why, they were so focused on fighting Hell, because it’s their function, that’s what they supposed to do.
When Aziraphale was approached by a group of angels, they said to him: “You’ve been acting like a little bit of fallen angel, haven’t you?”
They’re not wrong! Aziraphale, without realising it, have been doing wrong thing the whole time. “Feeling” is a wrong thing for an angel.
On the other hand, it’s quite strange that Hell has been in kahoots with Archangel Michael. Demons are afraid of angels and try to never confront them directly. One Angel’s light can discorporate 10 demons. Maybe that’s why demons were keeping social distancing when Michael came with holy water. 🤣
And there is our disaster puppy Crowley, being head over hills in love with Aziraphale. As I said before, it’s wrong for him even to be near an angel. He should be terrified of him. But he loves him.
To sum up, WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE?
Two ethereal entities, contradicting their very nature, doings things they shouldn’t be doing, being NOT an Angel, NOT a demon, but perfectly “HUMAN” ✨
I’m realizing this embarrassingly late, but the parallels between these scenes:
Now, what if Crowley responded to my friend😅 sorry Elena not sorry really. I’ll buy you a cake later 🌟
You cannot calm him down! He lashes out because he can…🤩
