There was a red blurr in the distance, most likely Starscream practicing for the next battle with the Autobots. Swindle was most likely with the Seeker. The two always took an opportunity to take a walk away from base during Megatron’s nap time.

He makes an affirmative chirp on keeping a watch on the shield. Maintaining it sounded easy and normal - take breaks now and then to let it regenerate then go back into the fray and kick ass. Piece of cake. ::Yeeeeaaaaaah.:: The minicon oh so casually stretches his arms out. ::This ain’t my first war.:: It’s just his third. ::I’ve been caught in conflict for, like, millions of years. I got this, no problemo.::
“Well that would certainly give you more qualification than most here. Right next to the young lady herself.” Principle’s helmet dipped in indication of Eve, who looked was taken aback a bit. They was being sarcastic, having thought the number exaggerated, but she didn’t quite catch that.
“There are few conflicts I can think of that have lasted that long. You’re rather unlucky aren’t you?” He full on glanced at Eve who shrunk away at the movement. Knowing something was up but not what exactly was aggravating for them.
::Really?:: Leader-1 looked at Eve and chirred thoughtfully, trying to guess her age. The body was in the mid-teens but Eve, the god hidden somewhere in that body, was not so easy to read. It was actually impossible, at least for him.
It was still odd to think of her being so young though. He and the Boss were old, but gods were suppose to be older.
::Yeah.. I guess you could say that.:: The minicon turned his attention back to Principle. ::It’s a long story though and I think Eve was wanting to do a few more things while I was here, yeah?::

If anyone was keeping record, Leader-1 had managed to go through the whole process without a single complaint. Maybe a low chirr slipped out here and there, but for the most part he was quiet and still, just as Principle instructed him to be.
When all was said and done, the minicon chitters softly and idly kicks at the dirt. ::Well, ya know… I’m just…:: There’s an odd noise from his vocalizer, something like a cough. ::SO, uh, thanks for that, Principle.::
Principle waved the comment off, either unaware of his bashfulness or uncaring. “It’s my job to assist the Principalities in their endeavors and the Gelaceath and her protection is definitely one of them. You should keep an eye on that shield on the battlefield. It’s sustained by your life but can be broken and be vulnerable. How much it can take is entirely dependent on you but it’s important to take cover when it breaks so that it can resettle.”
Eve noticed the peculiar movement though. Her head cocked as she watched Leader-1 over Principle’s shoulders, smiling. She couldn’t be sure what his body language meant but she had some idea. Alien or not. “Leader-1 will likely be able to take a lot. I hear he was very helpful in wars past.”

It takes true courage to cover a homicidal ex-warlord in heavy syrup. Megatron always seemed so cool, calm and collected. Now he was probably grumbling in the wash racks and struggling to wash away the sticky substance from his joints.. Falling victim to such a childish prank must have been a huge blow to his ego.
Excuse Overlord while he chuckles at the thought of a proud, syrup covered moose.
Overlord knew Leader 1 by name alone, other than that there was little information on this mecha. Till now, Megatron had never even brought up the designation during their conversations.
He caught several strange scents permeating off Megatron’s armor, some of which he could recognize, while others remained unidentifiable. One possibly belonging to this ‘Leader 1′ fellow..
Overlord passed through the bridge and into the abandoned base. Upon arrival, he did a quick scan of his surroundings before settling down into a crouching position. There, he reflected for a moment. ‘..he must be captured alive and unharmed..’ A pity to be shackled to such limitations, but it would prove to be a challenge for the tyrant. Something to keep his wandering mind preoccupied for the time being.
Collecting his thoughts, Overlord stood and trudged forward into the hallway; deeper into the base.
For once in the history of practical jokes, Leader-1 is innocent. Of course, nobody except Eve would believe him, but it was the truth. Just because he has a history of pulling off pranks doesn’t make him guilty for every prank. Whoever set this up deserved a handshake for a job well done and a punch for setting him up.
Since Megatron put a bounty on him, Leader-1 was laying low in the base. Being as big as a human meant there were plenty of places for him to hide in and wait for Megatron to cool off so he could plead his case.
Or not. Apparently Megatron was was serious about that bounty, if the whirring of the bridge was anything to go by. Someone was coming. Leader-1 made a break for the controls, hoping to shut the bridge down before the “guest” could enter, but he barely managed to reach the deck by the time they appeared. Having no other choice, he hid behind the machinery and waited.
Judging the pedefall, the tracker sounded large, heavy. Megatron must have picked a beast to come find him. All over a little syrup too. Ridiculous! When the steps got further away, the minicon slowly peaked around to get a look at his hunter. Yup, that was definitely a huge-ass bot. ::Unbelievable.:: He chittered quietly.
